PS4 Controller Help!!!

Guys, I'm tyring to play Hitman using PS4 controller. How to change the layout in game to show PS4 controls instead of the Xbox. In the steam big picture, the control layout is correct, for example, X for OK and O for done/exit. However in game, it's back to the Xbox layout, for example A for OK, B for back. Please need help how to fix this?

i can confirm. it does support the DS4. but you cant customize the layout tho.
altho, there is a program wich is called DS4windows wich allows you to customize it.
you can actually have your own presets for different games if you want to go that far.
why consoles still dont allow this is beyond me, but this program works fine

So there is no PS4 layout for the steam version. I see. I thought it was just my PC's problem. Well, nothing to worry about now. Just gotta get used to the Xbox layout.

No, he means that you are stuck with the "default configuration" for the controllers but you still can get the PS4 "icons" to show on screen, like mentioned on the reddit page I linked you, reading that carefully is a good place to start, some have reported success be with the USB cable or the bluetooth dongle, but you have to try the steps there, maybe test the USB first if you are using bluetooth.

I know what you mean. But that thread is before Steam made the update for Dualshock 4 support. The one they talk about is using other application. I heard that application contains adware, so I'm not gonna install it and rather play it just fine for now.

hitman supports ds4 right from the get go, I dont understand your problem.

My problem is the controller layout icon. I mean, in game it plays like an xbox controller. The button in game are A,B, X and Y. How to change it like you're playing from a PS4. The X,O, trainlge and square button. If you still dont understand, it shows press A to start, B to crouch, X to subdue, and so on. It's hard palying with a PS4 controller, since you know I also play a PS4 and not Xbox. How to change it to press X to start, O to crouch, square to subdue like you're playing from a PS4. Understand?

if you have a reciever for xbox controllers connected to your pc this might happen.
at least it did for me. so if you have that. then that might be it.
else you could try to connect the controller before you start the game. it should show the ps4 layout. if that doesnt work then unplug it and move your mouse or press enter. anything to make the promts change to pc. the plug it back in. if that doesnt work then i dont know

DId you fix this problem, its happening to me too. I really dont want to play wired now but it's the only way.

I did not fix this yet. Wired? If you play wired does it is shows the ps layout? Mine is not even on wired.

On wired it show PS layout sometimes. I have to keep removing it and plugging it back in. I was able to play wirelessly with the PS layout showing until this week.
