Okay it seems it is related to the DirectX 12. When i swapped to DirectX 11 then the sound was working. Investigating further.
Did a clean reinstall on my GFX driver (deleted all AMD folders). Reverted back to an older stable driver (which i know should have worked). Still no fix.
Reinstalling HITMAN again and deleting its folder did not help. I then tried to remove the AUDIO driver from the motherboard (not the GFX audio driver, but the motherboard driver). Then the sound came back for DX12. Now i will try to reinstall audio driver for motherboard and see what happens.
Okay finally got it working. Uninstalled Realtek HD Audio drivers and installed newer ones from Realtek website (not my motherboard website). Also for some reason my sound control (Open Volume Mixer) had turned HITMAN sound to 0 (muted). I cranked it up and it started working again.
Btw thanks for no help from community, quite sad... Seems like nobody wants to help here. Maybe someone in the future can use this help for themselves.
resume: you need to select a game with mouse otherwise windows don't understand that you're playin it and mute it as minimized.
You didn't appear in a good time. We need to work at workdays.
