Items not spawning

I purchased this game while it was on sale, so I've only completed up to Paris. Certain items don't seem to spawn into the map for me. For example: any of the rat poisons on any map, the projector slides on The Final Test, Margolis' Laptop Dongle in Showstopper. Do items only appear after I reach a certain experience level? Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Never ever heard of this issue before. I'd verify the integrity of the game's files if you haven't done so already.

Only missions that move stuff around is escalations and i think hard mode does,

But other than stuff items should be in the same place every time.

Try verify files and check, that fails try a full reinstall.

Are you using an outdated game guide? Some items were removed on game updates, like the surveillance server in the police shack in Bangkok. Playing on Professional difficulty in Paris (I believe to unlock that you have to have reached Mastery Level 20 on that map) makes certain items more rare, even unavailable, forcing you to exercise greater care in mission planning.

Sounds like your game's code has been corrupted; you're the first user I've heard of reporting this issue.
