So it's $75 for the whole game? Does that include the DLC's?
Edit: Also confused on "The first series" are there more than one?
The first series are the missions currently out for Hitman (the DLC's). The game will expand by releasing new missions periodically. You need The Full Experience to get access to all content, the starter pack just gives you an impression of what the game is.
You can either buy HITMAN™: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON [Prologue + Episode 1-6 + Bonus Episode] which is the base game + all DLC in one package.
Or you can buy HITMAN™: INTRO PACK [Prologue + Episode 1] which is the base game with only the first episode (mission) but you'll miss the other 5.
If you go the second route, you can add the HITMAN™: UPGRADE PACK [Episodes 2-6 + Bonus Episode] to get all missions. Or you can buy the DLC's seperately if you only want specific missions. My advice would be get all because the game is awesome.
Either way will get you the base game + all it's DLC's.
Buy the intro pack first, give it a try. If you like it, then buy the complete series
I love the series. I've played every game so far even though I started with Silent Assassin back in 2003 and went backwards to play Codename 47 and have played every game since, except Absolution was a disappointment being so short on the SP side of things. It needed to be about 3x that long. I don't think it's a matter of liking the game, I think it's more a cost vs. entertainment value to me. $75 is a bit steep for a partial game.
I'm still too cheap for that. I usually wait till games are $30 or less to play. See ya in about 5 years. :) Maybe sooner if I happen to catch a sale.
The "other thing" is what what you didn't take the time to read and which created the confusion.
It pretty self-explanatory in my opinion...
-HITMAN™: INTRO PACK [Prologue + Episode 1]
-HITMAN™: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON [Prologue + Episode 1-6 + Bonus Episode]
As you can see and read, the Prologue and Ep.1 are obviously included in (the "other thing") The >COMPLETE< First Season. And what would be an Intro pack if it would include the whole game? Otherwise, I'll break it down for you...
-Intro : 15$
-Complete First Season : 60$ (On Sale : 30$)
-If you buy the Intro and then the other at full price it's 75$.
-But you could wait for a sale. So you could buy the Intro for 15$ at full price just to test it out and then buy the Complete season at 30$ if you liked the intro for a total of 45$.
Cheaper than the full game at full price but more expensive than wawiting for the complete season to go on sale.
-Buying the Intro Pack at full price and each episodes seperatly : ~80$
Just don't buy the episodes seperatly. Unless you are willing to pay more in the long run because you're only able to spend a little amount in short period of times, it's obviously not worth it.
Basically, they give you many ways of buying the game depending on your budget but taking some more if you're not willing to spend for the whole season in one shot.
