lithuania breaking from union with poland every time
After trying the 1.13 beta this started happening a lot. I can't pinpoint the reason, though I suspect it has to do with the elective monarchy system and legitimacy.
Anyone else run in to this? Any pointers for avoiding a split?

Prestige? Did you see what it was that caused it to go negative?

Also, for some reason Lithuania gets a rather ridiculous amount of pretender rebels...

i've seen poland integrate lithuania and not form commonwealth which is strange

Could that be the cause of the pretender rebels?

I said legitimacy, not prestige. In elective monarchy now, your polish/lithuanian heirs seem to have a very weak claim and take power with no legitimacy. I don't know if that's what causes the split, but I have seen them split because a foreign monarch took the throne. Seems to me, just resisting the Sejm would be the best way to avoid it from now on. Never had this problem before.

Low legitimacy was always present in CW since 1.7.

Low legitimacy per se doesn´t make PUs break. The tooltip is pretty explicit about that. So I don´t even know why you mention it.

If a foreign heir gets the throne he will have high legitmacy BTW. Foreign heirs always have it.

well I do believe Legitamacy influenes Unrest slightly. So if they get pulled into a war and rebels pop up, it does make them fight two at once. And the enemy Ai could take advantage and beat Poland up enough for Prestige to go negative.

But it just might be the luck of the draw for you. France is usually one of the most stable nations in the game, AI wise. I once had 4/5 games with France Imploding for whatever reason.

The latest patches seem to have tweaked prestige gains from battles a bit. I've noticed it's quite a bit lower. Could this be the culprit?

I've seen Spain lose the Iberian union a couple of times lately. Now that's funny!

I haven't seen them PU with poland for atleast 8 games in a row no matter what nation i play

I think it is prestige issues causing this problem, although it should be fixed at somepoint by the devs, hopefully

In one of my 1.13 iterations as TO they even once went to war right close to game start at that! It was amazing to steal lands from Poland with ease.

Lithuanian opinion of Poland going negative is what I've seen happen a lot. Most recently I found Lithuania has a -280 malus with Poland from siphoning income :mailedfist:
