Hello! I just wanted to say thank you very much for making a Let's Play of Iaponia Universalis. We'll be putting up a bugfixing patch for it soon, and you'll probably be happy to know that we're including a complete overhaul of culture in it including a fix to everyone being Saigoku at start. (The wastelands are indeed there to represent mountains, or rivers in a few instances - Iaponia's topography is unfortunately less than ideal.)
