Hindu or Sunni

Hey there, I'm playing as the Maldives and I want to conquer India, I'm a sultante, should I convert to Hindu???
I'm not sure what the religion bonuses are, please help!!!

Hindu is the one of the best religions imo due to the tolerance of heathens. Sikh is pretty good too.

It depends, both helps when conquering but have different uses, when you have high piety i think sunni gives you more army morale, missionary strength and another thing i dont' remember, hindi as stated before have more tolerance of heathens so its up to you, want better armies or more stability and less revolts?

Hindu can give you +5% discipline tho.

Thing with hindu is you can choose your bonus, whilst sunni is preset.

Hindu also get permament -6% tech cost decision once they got at least 1 sunni province.

Sunni has some very nice fixed bonuses that scale with Piety (although high Piety has a couple of annoying downsides as well). Hindu's most notable bonuses come from which of the deities you pick for your ruler; this can make it quite flexible, especially on a republic who can easily toggle between the deities. That being said, what sets Hindu apart for me are the monarch events from deity choice that end up boosting your ruler's stats (which are vastly better for monarchies than they are for republics). Some deities are better than others for this - you build a Temple in your capital as soon as you're able, and you've met the criteria to get +2 Admin if you choose Surya (a brilliant choice, therefore, if you're planning on being at peace for most of that ruler's reign and benefit most from the economy boost, since you then don't have to go out of your way at all to trigger the event). Note that you can only ever have one of these modifiers on a given ruler, and it's usually easiest to get Admin points, some deities have easy Diplo points, and Mil points usually require jumping through some pretty extensive hoops. Given the choice between Sunni and Hindu, I'd pick Hindu every time, just because of the monarch points.

Thank you for your feedback, I just converted to Hindu and i got the decision for the -6% technology cost, that way I can keep up with the Tech.
