Blood Bowl 2

Blood Bowl 2

View Stats:
warning to all potential buyers
after installation you may get a pop-up that says "blood bowl 2 requires that your graphics hardware be compatable with directx11 or open gl 3.3". this requirement is not mentioned in the systems specs prior to purchase so like me, you may end up wasting £35 on a game that will not even run.

so far, none of the devs have troubled themselves to respond to this issue, raised by me in a previous thread. the solutions offered by them in a faq thread for installation problems ( posted suspiciously soon after game went on sale) doesn t help either.

for those who don t know, there is a refund system. my own refund for bb2 is already in hand. but to save yourself the bother, i suggest that any potential buyer wait until this game is fixed.
right now its a bit of a mess.

Your title is despicable.

How do you know - you don´t even meet the graphical requirements to play the game ?
Works fine for me on an extremely old system ( E8600 Dual-Core, HD 6870) Just had to update my drivers.

This did not pop up and I have a old machine - running all fine and smooth with out any problems. Could it be something in your own hardware/drivers/computer ....

ok, maybe you re right. maybe i shouldn t say bad things about a game that cost me £35, that doesn t f**king work, that doesn t clearly state system requirements prior to purchase, that obviously has a host of other issues (see other people s comments), that the devs obviously knew was problematic ( otherwise why the instant, on day of release, exhaustive faq bollocks on how to make the thing run/work etc...). i ve applied for a refund and i ll re-install bb1.

From the system requirements tab:

Graphics: 768 MB 100% DIRECTX 10 AND SHADERS 4.0 COMPATIBLE.

It has been like this at least since the start of the beta, when I checked before pre-ordering to make sure my old GPU could handle the game. Looks clear enough to me :)

i refer you to my original post. directx11 is (apparently) required.

Nope, my GPU doesn't support DX11 and I play just fine on OpenGL.

well franz, i really don t know how else to put it other than to state the facts...i m sorry that you and a bunch of other people seem to have such a problem with this...like i said, i installed the game, i pressed " play" and i got the pop-up message quoted above. the game would not run....i installed it thinking that it would run because, among other things, it specified directx10 which i knew would be ok...anyway, the game has been removed from my account, i have a refund and i would strongly advise anyone to wait for at least a month till the devs have sorted things out.

From experience, this only happens on some accounts. My friend bought the game, he has better specs than me yet I can run it and he can't. He has Directx 11 but is told that he doesn't by Bloodbowl, yet other games requiring Directx 11 work fine.

Yep, because you experienced a problem noone else has. Makes sense.
Sometimes I can´t help but wonder, what kind of folks this game attracts.

Don't listen to those guys. You avoided a turd anyway...
Nodork Nov 6, 2015 @ 2:14pm
So somebody on the internet is crying because he was not able to check the forums and other websites if his system can actually run the game. And of course its all the dev's fault. lol
Lensar Nov 6, 2015 @ 4:27pm
Gorm, what's your system? Seems odd that you wouldn't be able to run it with DX10. Maybe we can help you figure out what's wrong.
