Campaign as Tutorial....
what a "great" idea - especially while a LOT of players know the game for more tahn 10 years.
I can barely express how "satisfied" i am with 3 hours of tutorial most boring matches jsut to see if there comes sth useful after it...

Especially while I still hope an AI league system will unveil like in bb1....
If not I can already say : thanks for fixing multiplayer (which you shouldve done in bb1) and cutting content for bb2 ... while beeing at full price without ANY inovation...(which is probably better than messing up the content as well...)

cheers

Man its as if theres no such thing as new players to a new game
Riiight, because an option to skip a tutorial has never been invented.

There is an AI league system I believe at least it says so on the main game site (not the story mode crap and actual league is what it talks about)

I, for one, seriously appreciate the "tutorial campaign." BB1 was like hitting a brick wall and I could never get into it. I've had BB2 for three days now and I've already played more of it.

Though frankly I think a lot of the complaints I've been seeing are just so-called veterans like you who are afraid of change. If you think that BB2 isn't a serious step forward in almost every way (except for the number of races, but let's be honest here you'll never have the same level of content in a game like this when the new one launches), you're blind.

Feel free to stick with BB1 if that's what you want to do, meanwhile I'll be enjoying myself.

Attrition. True story.

I for one welcome the Campaign as tutorial as I only played BB1 for a couple hours, haven't played in a very long time, am interested in the game but don't want to go "backwards," and I need a good way for me to learn the game.

That being said, to have the Campagin be the only form of SP, assuming that's true, is dumb IMO. There are plenty of players who enjoy vs ai and want to be able to carry their teams through a season doing so.

It isnt. Although the new way does seem sort of hidden. You just create solo leagues now

So the CAMPAIGN is a tutorial (using humans), players can still play vs ai, using all the customization and leveling up, through solo leagues? Is that accurate?

If so, then I think that's a good compromise (as campaigns take a lot of resources to create, and players can still have all the goodies vs ai).

Precisely

I cant get in yet (damn disk version 7pm unlock) but my understanding is you create it as a custom league in league system (like you would for MP) but add AI teams instead, which I actually think I prefer tbh specially over time as more teams are added.

Within each league there are various competitions etc and so forth

Just found this it explains league structure much better than i...

So if im reading it right you can basically create the original league from BB1 in BB2 if you so desire (though it might have limitations im not yet aware of)

if you want to make a tutorial, you call it a "tutorial" and then label it in the menu as a "tutorail" where anyone who wants to play a "tutorial" can click "tutorial" in the menu.

Anyone else who has probably played blood bowl for 100, or god knows how many, hours and wants to play a "campaign" would rather click on a menu option that says "campaign" and then play a "campaign" rather than a "tutorial"

because omg it is boring. Your actions cant fail and you cant cause a turnover, thats not bloodly blood bowl!

First 3 games are a tutorial yes, then it goes back to blood bowl with some stuff that happens at kickoffs that dont in normal blood bowl. altho the ai seems to be very bad (ko/injured all members of the caos teamand waited for all rounds to end to make match faster) but yes the campaign is a big tutorial as in skill lvl. But all campaigns for mp games are mostly just tutorials

any fps game is where u skill thigns up (crisis as example)
3rd person shooters the same where u get abilities later on etc etc.
racing games (the whole thing)
Basically any Heavy based game on MP which Bloodbowl sorta is the campaigns always are tutorials bcuz they want to push the population towards multiplayer to lkeep the game alive.

The manual from the game also describes the options, in game tooltips once you find the well hidden solo league (IMO) are also ok.

Remeber you MUST create a team first (the normal way) or you wont be able to do it.

Once you have a team, go into JOIN a league, and it will ask you to chooce SOLO or MULTIPLAYER.

It does have restrictions compared to BB1, in other ways its just different.

1. You cannot choose what teams are in the league (except your own).

2. You have a choice of 4 different formats or a custom league format. Which is pretty broad and cool IMO.

3. Certain stats for AI teams are not working in game (these are more "game analysis" types rather then game impacting ones).

4. You CANNOT (THIS I HATE) choose to have the AI matches played rather then simulated (ie so you can watch, or just achieve a better simulated result). I understand I am in a very small minority here on this issue, but its such a simple option to have added to the game.

5. The simulation IS MUCH BETTER then BB1. No more idiot stats ie Deathrollers getting 10 touchdowns etc. The results seem reasonable, although without going through the python scripts it will be hard to tell how well the simulation does. It does seem to make sense.

6. Cant seem to find individual player stats anywhere (this could be an ommission on my part, but I did look for quite a while).

Are thats about all I can think of !!!!!

Do the simulated results include draws? In BB1 every simulated AI vs AI game was a winning result.

That SP league should be advertised somewhere. I never played BB1 multi-player and only played the sp campaign (80 hours or so). Was pretty upset when I thought that in BB2 tutorial-Campaign and friendly matches was all there was to SP.

Good to know this is not so.
