As for the dice roll -- RNG is frustrating: real life or pseudo-random generated (which all video games with any RNG elements use some kind of pseudo rand by the way) are never perfectly evenly distributed. Sometimes someone gets a long lucky streak and sometimes one gets a unlucky streak. It's a property inherit with anything random or pseudo-random. It's not something that can be fixed, at least not the way you want it to be.
Over half his orc team had either +str or +agility including one blitzer who even had +ma to compliment his +agi... even before the game started those were some extremely lucky stat rolls... then when the game started I got a whole stream of unlikely failures as reciever in the first few rounds whilst he got everything he needed to score two fast goals without me hardly doing anything.
then suddenly once his victory was assured it was as if everything returned to normal... I eventually evened the score a little during the second half to 2-1 but only after a grueling up hill struggle against such a powerful team.
I won't say it was cheats but it still felt like an extremely unlucky enough event to make me suspect the possibility.
I don't know about the second part, but the first part could be a team editor. What's his team's TV? Have you got the replay?
His TV was around 1700
That's some extremely lucky rolling right there.
As for player "ups" being a bit too sexy to believe...I had a BB1 orc team called "Da Perfek 10's". If a player hadn't rolled a special by their 3rd roll, I sold them and started them again. I had a team with 5+str players in, 4 +agi two of whom had +mv...and (drum roll) a +7str, block, Pro +1 AV, Break tackle, Guard troll (called Your'mum) that my opposition spent the entire game trying to down then foul to death (she still lives as do my memories of saying stop stamping on Your'mum just coz you got her down :) ).
So it is 'relatively' easy (with patience) to build a 'specials' team.
Indeed today with all my big guys (trolls ogres etc) if they dont get block on their 4th roll I sell them (break tackle, guard and something like frenzy or juggernaught all being acceptable 1, 2, 3 skills).
For second part, I think that it's just Blood Bowl... I mean, I was playing today against Skaven team who managed to kill my Orc Thrower and wound my Blitzer... I'm ready to belive anything ;)
As soon as we're 2-0 all goes back to normal and I'm able to score in two turns.
I usually don't blame cheats and I know how BB works but this looks very similar to what Helsync described so I'm reporting it.
There's no need to be a smartass, I'm merely reporting here that I experienced something oddly similar to another guy here.
It was not a match against a competent coach that I lost and now I'm salty and crying on the forums. It was a match against someone who played as you'd expect someone with zero rerolls would play (long pass with a goblin, black orc dodging, single dice blocks...) and yet never suffered a single turnover until the game was 2-0.
Probably it's just really bad luck, the fact that something similar happened to someone else doesn't mean anything, but I'm still writing about it for the odd chance that there's something else going on.
