Nurgle gameplay is really different than Chaos gameplay
Yes they have the beastmen and mutation but they have nothing else in common
Less agility, the Beast, Rotters, Disturbing Presence.... plenty of difference. :)
Appears to be a really interesting team, would proably be a DLC I would consider buying :)
I bet you never used them if you think that's the only difference
Just from the start, at TV1000, the optimal set-up is with only ONE beast man on the filed because you cannot afford more
They have at least 3 rotten with decay on the field, their warriors have AGI3 instead of AGI3, the beast is totally different from the Mino.
Nurgle have no access to Apothecary but have Regeneration on the beastmen/warrior/beast
Nurgle has Disturbing Presence and Foul Appearance, and also when they kill a player they could resurrect a rotten for free
Also the game play is different. Nurgle can have Max 4 beastmen on the filed instead of 7 so those 4 have to be very specialized players. The warrior, with AGI2, level up vay more slow than the chaos warrior.
The Beast of Nurgle is a lot more tactical than the Mino due tentacles skill at the begninning.
And more
So no, Chaos and Nurgle are really two different team
So, way to miss the point, guys.
No, the point is, even if the lore Chaos and Chaos Nurgle are similar, they are two different team with very few things in common. Nurgle is a defensive player with slow players and slighty better restistance than chaos and focus on distrup other gameplays, especially passing game.
Chaos is totally different
Bash offensively, bash defensively, it's the same play. Smash the opponent into the ground. Except with both Chaos and Nurgle, all the bash-happy coaches have their pick of options, instead of, you know, doing something completely different. Like doing anything with the ball.
So no, the only reason a Nurgle team can kill the more than a few pieces of its opponent's team would be if one stands all of his pieces in a line, right in front of the beast and the warriors.
I'd welcome Nurgle teams with open arms, when Cyanide finally gets around to it...
I feel like no one even bothered to read my wall'o'text article.
I did and i agree with you but seems like people read Chaos and think they are the same team with different skin
I couldn't agree more, I have played nurgle as my main team in BB1 since they were added and they are completely different. granted you do bash the opponent a fair bit, but you will do that with most teams if you get the opportunity.
Because of only having 4 beast men, i find that there is actually a little *More* ball play than chaos teams, this is because these beast men become very specialised and gain SPP very quickly.
The biggest difference is the tactic and how you set up the field, you can manipulate the opposition so easily with their starting line up. Tentacles at start ties up lots of the opposition and then there is disturbing presence. this skill can really ♥♥♥♥ with people, those -1 modifiers are not to be sniffed at.
In essence the difference is; instead of bashing your way though to the touch line hoping to kill the opponent as much as possible. you set up you team to run massive interference, blocking off and tying up your opponent, splitting the field allowing your beast men to out manoeuvre your opposition. beast men take mutations to make the ball handling easy while the rest of your players taking frustrating stills like tentacles, stand firm, guard and if your lucky diving tackle. bogging down your opponent as much as possible rather than killing them out right.
They are actually a fairly unique team and if played right will be not only frustrating for your opponent, but very successful.
