Dwarfs: pick a Deathroller yes or no?
Title says all. Is it worth it?

It has awesome stats, but once anyone scores it goes out leaving you with only 10 players (unless you have a bribe, but it doesn't happen that often)

You shouldn't use a secret weapon as part of your core 11, or even your 12th, for this reason. If a player sees it on the sidelines, they'll try to force it onto the field late first-half so you won't have it in the second half.

+1 Zourin

Definitely not part of your starting lineup.

The second option is to start with it knowing you won't have it later and having a 12th on the sidelines to replace it. Foul Every Turn with it, and get your money's worth and score mid-to-late first half.

Then you can take your regular band of hairy sack-draggers and mire them in halftime.

Yeah definatly don't use a deathroller if you can't replace him after he's removed from the pitch. Having that said, they can be fun and useful. By no means a must have and often will they just blow up your TV though.

A little useful if you've lost a higher-level player and are still trying to train up the replacement.

The important things end up being having a good 12th to replace him (not a 'fill in'), and to do everything you can to remove valuable people from the pitch.

With the new stadium enhancements you can ensure you have a bribe for him at your home stadium

I have my dwarf team around 1500 TV without a deathroller. i was thinking on buying one. Guess he's not worth it after all unless i have some spare players.

If you buy a deathroller while having 11 players then you will have a spare player! :D

And I think you should have a spare Blocker and that TV anyway, too likely too lose one to a claw/might blow guy and dwarfs never want to be outnumbered.

That bribe goes for the other guy too, which can backfire if he's got a fouler.

A blocker? The only unit called blocker i know of is on the bretonian roster. You mean a Longbeard (lineman), right?
Vacc Oct 2, 2015 @ 5:44am
Longbeards used to be called Blockers.
