Looking for a new league...maybe skittles?
After my fourth massive drubbing by a high value chaos team with claws, I am guilty of finally conceding my first match. It was half way through, but I did, and fueled whatever teamed that was with more points. Everything started fine, and found some chatty players that enjoyed the matches.

I am looking for a league without aging mechanics, not that I will probably ever play a team long enough to worry about it in my best estimations. I would like to at least try and play more team variety.

Was wondering if the Lil skittles league is ok, and really don't want to wait hours for matches. Another league would be ok too, as long as it isn't too serious and more about just playing for the sake of just playing.

Thanks.

Youll find less variety in skittles, its like a smaller version of cabalvision where everyone plays dwarves LM and chaos basically and generally I found conceding and behaviour overall worse than cabalvision tbh

Mr Hadwicks is great but small player base and near empty some times of the day, there are tons of private leagues, but honestly the most convenient league remains cabalvision. I think what your experiencing is having your tv to high and/or the bad matchmaking.

You only meet those sorts of chaos teams at tv 1850 + really. And if your TV is that high and you arent chaos then you need to learn about TV management. No other team currently in game performs as well as chaos at that TV, most of the other good teams (delves, skaven, orks etc) dont need that high a tv to be good and actually start to suffer badly at that level.

Generally you want to keep your tv between 1450 and 1700 at most and never search for a match for longer than 15 seconds as then it just disregards your tv and matches you against stupid high value kill teams.

In short

1) Manage tv well to avoid bloat
2) Never search for more than 15 seconds at a time for a match

I played skittles before switching over to cabalvision, and there seems like there is a pretty big skill discrepency. Lots more newer/ still learning/ outright bad players. I prefer cabalvision honestly.

The tv system in large ladders just kinda sucks anyway. It's like being a dog on a leash. While chaos are indeed the best bashers due to strength and mutations (more options than anyone else. Exception being skaven but they break easily) but they're hardly invincible or unbeatable. If you play smart and roll well even a bashy team can take them on:

I think elf teams are good at super high team values. They have a good matchup vs Chaos too. I might just be crazy though.

They will often win vs chaos at high tv but usually at much cost to their own players, and its just not needed elves are just as strong if not stronger at mid range tv levels.

Thank you so much. I wish I could quote everyone, as these responses were decent and thoughtful.

I do wish, however, that you could reject a match pregame without taking any penalties. You shouldn't have to concede a match that you thought wasn't remotely fair to begin with. You should be allowed to search again without giving free points and taking a loss that never happened.

But, I guess those are the mechanics, so I will start conceding matches pregame that I do not feel would be worth my time.

my league has been going for about 4 days now it's up to 17 teams and growing we have a fairly active group as you can usually find a match evenings and weekends central time zone.

search for: "The Skulk League"

we also have a steam group found here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/theskulk

I'm also a recent member of the skulk league. So I'll +1 that.
