I'm a bit concerned with your format though. A team full of high-elf lineman will do fine. What about Lizardmen? Some teams linemen have serious weaknesses balanced out by their positional players.
- Dorfs
- 11 Longbeards with Block and Tackle
- 3 rerolls
- Apothecary
There's no need to consider anything else, because it'll just get murdered by Dorfs- especially the aforementioned all-Skink team. :)
They're only one skill (Guard) away from being able to totally dominate an all-lineman league.
Give Dorfs the boot, and I and a few others may be interested. :)
Not using any GFI a dwarf takes 7 turns to go from 1 end zone to the other. Better hope no one stalls him by standing 1 square away ^_^
Yes, Dorfs will hit hard, but it's unlikely they'll win many games.
I've seen several other lineman only leagues in BB:CE and surpirsingly there was a decent mix of teams. Probably because people don't join these leagues to WAAC but to have fun
"滴水穿石- 'Dripping water can eat through a stone'.
Assuming that, because no one has Kick, and you aim dead centre, the 50/50 odds of the ball landing in the Dorf backfield pay off. If the ball lands in the backfield, you have about a 1 in 6 chance of the ball landing on an edge.
That's around an 8% chance of the ball landing in the receiving team's end zone.
You're hoping for a lot of big 'ifs' there. :)
Anyway, I didn't intend to derail this topic from league applications. Just giving my two cents.
Awesome math there ^_^ Appreciate the input and shows the chance of a dwarf player really being screwed by a kick off.
Personally I would love to play against dwarf players. Super slow stunties trying to grind out that score ^_^
Luckily we welcome anyone who is interested not only Dwarf players! Feel free to sign up!
Then someone picks the counter to 11 longbeards. 15 Peasants
have fun getting anywhere against fend.
Casualties against AV7 are inevitable. It's not like the peasants are going anywhere with AG2. A few SPP in casualties more than makes up for a missed TD. :)
Also, I don't think that 15 peasants with only G access are going to hold up well in a league against linemen with S access- the only linemen (currently available) with S access apart from Beasts.
S access will be a large advantage in this league.
Edit: also, if a lot of people think taking Peasant teams is a good idea, the Dwarfs and Beasts have easy access to Juggernaut as a counter.
Back on topic, we have a few people who signed up already! If anyone else is looking to join a fun league jump in!
