How does juggernaut work?
They said in the changelog that they fixed juggernaut, but I just had a game in which I used juggernaut on a block target. I clicked the do nothing pop up but his block still worked, do i have to click to use juggernaut then click a different pop up to ignore the push?

Did you blitz him?

Jugg only turns Both down result into a push (if popup is selected i.e the new bug fix)
& will only over ride the skills wrestle, fend & stand firm so block will still work for the
opposing player. so unless your jugg player also had block ignoring the push ignore
vs a block player while selecting both down would result in a turnover against you.

have i read the situation right?

Yes I did, both of us had block. If I read the patch right I should be able to cancel his block and knock him down.

no, block is not cancelled out by juggernaught.

Ah so it doesn't do block. Well I probably wouldve delayed that a level or 2 then oh well

No, you can't cancel his Block skill. You only cancel a Wrestle skill (or Fend, or Stand Firm). So blitzing a Block player with Juggs will, at best, allow you to choose to either accept a Both Down (not using Juggs, both using the Block skill) or turn it in to a push (using Juggs).

Block/Juggs is useful vs Wrestle as it cancels wrestle whether you use Juggs or not, and if you choose to not use it you can now use Block against what is effectively an unskilled (no Block, Wrestle cancelled) player.

Yeah I see the use for it, do you think it would be worth it to pick up frenzy for that saurus next? He has block, dodge, tackle, juggs.

Ive got a pretty lucky lizards set up going on with block krox and a +mv and +ag skink. It was a bit of an experiment when I started it, I have 0 mb outside of krox. I just rely on guard tackle spam with standfirm cage with that skink who can score from one tile into the opponents half.

" it cancels wrestle whether you use Juggs or not"

oh! - that i did not know. So just having the skill neutralises wrestle?

Yep, and SF and Fend. At least it should...

The logic is that you'll never NOT want to cancel wrestle, as it just means he cannot choose to use wrestle, so he'll go down and you won't. You can still choose to take the both down and not the push, but then he can't choose to use wrestle. It saves a dialogue that would just about never be useful. (it's not 'just having the skill', it's having the skill and blitzing with the guy who has it)

Only true if your player has Jugg & Block. Otherwise you'll both hit the floor & it'll be a turnover.
I've chosen not to use Wrestle many times, but ofc never vs a player with Block.
Jugg alone would not give you immunity from the turnover.

Well this is why i was interested in Dode's post - previously i'd believed the same as you
(only ever triggered on a blitz action alone) - but the actual wording of the jugg skill in the LRB6
is a bit awkward & open to 2 possible interpretations.
DarthPhysicist Jan 14, 2016 @ 11:55am
A player with this skill is virtually impossible to stop once he is in motion. If this player takes a Blitz Action, the opposing player may not use his Fend, Stand Firm or Wrestle skills against the Juggernaut player’s blocks. The Juggernaut player may also choose to treat a ‘Both Down’ result as if a ‘Pushed’ result has been rolled instead for blocks he makes during a Blitz Action.

Crystal clear.

Juggs would. If he has Wrestle and you have Juggs and you Blitz with him rolling 2x Both Down then you cancel Wrestle and use Juggs to convert the Both Down to a Push result. No turnover.

It is only ever triggered on a Blitz action. I don't think I've suggested otherwise.
