"Throw Team-Mate" Treeman-- Wood Elf Question
Can this be used? It is my understanding that the right stuff is a racial trait and can't be gained or lost. The catcher isn't able to learn 'right stuff' making this a useless trait on a tree for the Woodelves?

Am I incorrect? Thanks for the clarification.

Basically, yes. It would be weird if he didn't have the skill, though, since the fling trees do have it.

It might be a hangup from an older ruleset. Not sure tbh.

There is a halfling star player, puggy baconbreath who is only available to humans and halflings that can be thrown. I've always felt he should be able to be used with wood elves for precisely this reason.

Well the fling trees don't have loner, so there's really no reason they couldn't remove TTM from the wood elf trees too.
Thanks. Took some time to figure that out LOL. It does make sense that the big guys skill would be useable on the team he plays on. ;)

The fling trees don't have loner because they're not alone (and this is part of why the gobbo trolls shouldn't have loner either). There used to be a rule where any player ST2 or lower could get thrown in a TTM... As you can imagine oneturning was EVEN easier for wood elf catchers, back then.
I can see why they left it as is (aside from neatness). I can just see the discussion: So, um, if we remove TTM and, say... strong arm, then SURELY we could make the wood elf treeman 20k cheaper?

With a little research, the Right Stuff used to be an Agility skill, not a racial characteristic.
Thanks everyone

Fling trees aren't alone: there are (or can be) two of them. Hence they are not loners.

I remember Wood Elf Catchers with AG5 and right stuff: Perfect one turn scorers on defense. Not very balanced. Good thing it got removed.

Flawed logic yet again as gobo trolls aren't alone yet still have loner. 😀

Yet again?

And Gobbo trolls should not have loner. Imo.

Maybe i am wrong, but is "loner" not meant as in "i don`t care about the rest, i play my own game" and not as in "oh, i am so alone, i don`t want to play"?
So, loner has nothing to do with being "alone", but more with an egoistic player. Am i wrong here?

You are right. Halflings were very bad, so they removed loner from treemans to help them. Now they are just bad.

They are the diet Coke of bad. Just one calorie, not bad enough...

Loner used to be called "Not A Team Player" in an older version of the rules. So Telerion is correct.
