I would say if you enjoy RNG based pure nonsense with a veneer of fake strategy on top of it you may enjoy it. Just remember its more fun to watch than actually play. Its also quite grindy to level up your teams so they can even do anything at all then you get to watch them randomly die at kick off because RNG.
You're literally the only person I've ever seen make that claim, which suggests that you're very much a minority in that regard. It does however seem to support my suspicion that you simply don't know what you're doing in the game.
Knowing what you are doing means literally nothing when a flip of a coin decides if you succeed or not. This game is absolutely more random luck and chance than any type of skill or strategy.
Do you think all dice-based games (e.g. backgammon) & card games (e.g. poker) are, in your own words, "more random luck and chance than any type of skill or strategy"?
The fact that the same coaches regularly dominate over tens or even hundreds of others in the numerous leagues suggests that your claim is wrong, but I'm curious to see your answer to my question.
