2) They have to join the individual competition to be a member of it. Being a league member is not sufficient.
3) You can search for coaches under All and send a ticket
4) You are going to pony up the Cyans? Perhaps you don't have the Cyans?
5) Opening the Market allows you to buy and sell players but you have to have closed the competition (usually a ladder).
Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like a massive step backwards from chaos edition
I didnt play CE, but ^ this +1 . Its as if someone put deliberate thought into making League Management and well, MP in general, as player unfriendly and cumbersome as possible .
Thanks for the reply. For #3, I cannot change the filter. The only filter available is "Members" and every other option is greyed out. It seems like a bug but whatever it is, I can't invite anyone because of this.
You could set the Knockout as "Invitation only".
You can't invite people in your league, you have to invite them in a competition. The same filter but in a competition page should not be greyed out.
Your cyans pot is different from the cyans league pot, and adding them from your own is not straightforward:
1. Create a competition and set the entry fee to the desired amount of cyans you want to share
2. Join with a team
3. Leave with the team (optional)
4. Delete the competition (optional)
You should know have cyans in your league pot and can add them in the reward panel.
Thanks for the help. So someone automatically becomes a member of the league once they are a member of a competition within it, right?
A few more questions:
6) In a Round Robin league, what determines who wins if both teams have the same record. For example, the top two teams each have 3 wins and 1 loss. Who comes out on top? Has this been documented anywhere?
7) How do I reset a competition for another season? We intend to have multiple seasons within our league, following the format I described above (round robin regular season follwed by top teams in a knockout tournament to determine the season champion). Do I have to create a new competition each time we have a new season, or can I just reset things?
Create the RR2 competition already, then set the following rewards in RR1:
- 1-4: ticket for KO1
- 1-16: ticket for RR2
Or you can set the ticket for RR2 to 5-16 players and an another ticket reward for RR2 in KO1 (but you have to be sure to set a ticket reward for each position (semi-finalist, finalist, winner, etc).
That is correct, they automatically become a member once they join your league. However you may want to have a steam group up or something to make scheduling easier.
For the answer to #6 - In the end, you are the one that determines the tie breaker. Don't let the AI do it. Normally for my league, I manually invite the coaches to make sure the seeding is correct.
For the answer to #7 - Once you close the competition you should be able to hit the start button again and this should begin the following season. However you may want to simply create a new one and have it named different like "Season 2"
This led to a problem, though. After the I successfully used that method to transfer the cyans to a friend of mine who needs them as prize for a competition he's running, the team that I used to add the cyans to the competition became stuck in that competition. I can neither remove it (I get a message saying that there are aren't enough cyans in the kitty for me to do so), nor delete it (I get a message saying that I can't delete it while it's still in a league).
Is there any solution to this problem that you're aware of, or I am now just stuck with a dead team slot? Will my friend who I transferred the cyans to also have to take on a permanently dead team slot in order to award cyans to his own competition?
Hello, as an admin you can't kick a player when his cyans are used as a reward to avoid some abuse (you join the competition for a fee and then I kick you and keep the cyans) but as a player you should be able to leave the competition with the team (the cyans should stay in the league pot).
So if I'm remembering correctly, don't try to remove the team from the admin panel but from the "play in a league" screen
