How do i enable gamepad?

I have an xbox360 pad, and wished to use it for this as my index finger could do with a break! Store page says an pad in supported, it's plugged in and working with other games at present but not for this. The options tab 'controls' is greyed out and i cant select it. What gives?

I just managed to fix it changing a value in the config file in my documents. A shame it doesnt seem to let you use them simultaneously though, like Mordheim.

Yeah... If I forget to unplug my controller, it doesnt even automatically switch back to mouse and keyboard.

Its only slightly annoying, that we dont have simultaneous usage in 2016(2015 technically but meh)

My xbox1 controllers batteries went flat mid game. I plugged in my corded controller but was unable to use it. I had to restart the game in keybaord mode and was unable to use the plugged in controller. I tried to quit the game manually and restarrt to see if that would fix it. Not only did it not fix the problem but it also conceded the match. Now the game will not recognise a gamepad at all.

Disgusting gamepad support.

I'll see if i can find the setting in the config file. Honestly though. Thats some of the crappest gamepad support i have ever seen.

In the end I went back to keyboard and mouse. The gamepad support is really naff and clunky, it's not intuitive at all, unlike mordheim where the gamepad support was actually pretty good.

Which setting do you change to what? the setting in my config file is <Mode>0</Mode>

i play with a gamepad on my tv. my gf hates it when i sit at my pc with my back to her >.<

This all happened after a string of bad games plagued by bad rolls. In one game when the rolls weren't totally against me it auto conceded due to all this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Almost threw my controller through my television. Most rage inducing ♥♥♥♥ i have encountered in a video game in a long time

I changed Mouse mode from 1 to 0 and control mode from 0 to 1. Not sure if thats what you are suposed to do, but it worked.

Clear as mud. Is it really so hard to listen for input from either the mouse or gamepad and change the settings dynamically, like in almost every other game that uses a gamepad?

It was a while ago now but it was something like that, it was a zero to a 1. I was kind of hoping it would leave mouse and keyboard and gamepad open at same time, so i could use the mouse for the menus and gamepad for matches but it disabled the mouse whilst the gamepad was on.
