I like the one with the witch elf
Well, I don´t like Runners. It´s a good idea, but unfortunately they come with Dump Off instead of, for example: Sprint, Sure Feet or a simple Dodge. Like Runners should(?) have. Now they´re acting like some weird kind of Thrower and they´re not very good at it. Prefer Witch Elves as Runners. Assassins are not very good at what they do either.
Opponents should try to blitz and foul your Witch Elf as much as possible and so she could get horribly injured or worse which would set your early season back. I know that the same could be said for the Runner but he's 30k cheaper than the WE and truthfully better him than the blitzers in the first couple of games.
Go try this out.. for your first level for your Runner, give him Accurate and then you might change your sentiment
This is the best starting DE roster hands down. 4 players have block, 5 players have MA7. The problem with the 2Blitzer/1WE lineup is its too slow for elf ball. Only 3 MA7 players.
Get the apo immediately after, then 3rd RR, then the witch.
I skill the runner ASAP too, I actually like the Runner. But I still think that 3RR is imperative. Without you are too vulnerable to those 1's.
Then again, Ive yet to have long-term success with my DE teams. They tend to lose too many bodyparts in the long run...
Dump Off is actually a pretty good skill. It's hard enough getting to the ball carrier as it is, so it's quite frustrating for the opponent having to cover multiple potential recievers as well. And Nerves of Steel and accurate, and he'll be a straight-up headache.
