Have a look at this:

I like the one with the witch elf

4 blitzers, 6 linemen, 1 runner (who I let die)

@Arne - I like the Witch Elf-list too, but I think I´ll pick Apothecary instead of one Reroll. I don´t know...

Well, I don´t like Runners. It´s a good idea, but unfortunately they come with Dump Off instead of, for example: Sprint, Sure Feet or a simple Dodge. Like Runners should(?) have. Now they´re acting like some weird kind of Thrower and they´re not very good at it. Prefer Witch Elves as Runners. Assassins are not very good at what they do either.

I personally prefer the 4 blitzers and Runner with 2RRs with the idea to purchase the Apo straight away after the first game or at worst the 2nd game. That way you're protecting yourself a bit from having a very high value piece from getting injured.

Opponents should try to blitz and foul your Witch Elf as much as possible and so she could get horribly injured or worse which would set your early season back. I know that the same could be said for the Runner but he's 30k cheaper than the WE and truthfully better him than the blitzers in the first couple of games.

Go try this out.. for your first level for your Runner, give him Accurate and then you might change your sentiment

@ VG Purist - Well yes, but then he becomes a Thrower, not a Runner. But I guess it´s just a name anyway.

Yeah 4 blitzers is a very reliable start. One runner and the rest linemen.

This is the best starting DE roster hands down. 4 players have block, 5 players have MA7. The problem with the 2Blitzer/1WE lineup is its too slow for elf ball. Only 3 MA7 players.

Get the apo immediately after, then 3rd RR, then the witch.

I try to skill the runner, and get leader asap... that means you don't need to spend money on 3rd reroll, straight to witch.

I skill the runner ASAP too, I actually like the Runner. But I still think that 3RR is imperative. Without you are too vulnerable to those 1's.

Personally I pick two witch elves first and as many blitzers as I can fit with one reroll... I think thats 3? I ignore assassin and runner.

Then again, Ive yet to have long-term success with my DE teams. They tend to lose too many bodyparts in the long run...

Witch Elves are great, but they are also prime foul bait and difficult to keep safe without your Blitzers around. So I too would go with four Blitzers and a Runner. It will take some time before you hit your zone, but you're less likely to get demolished at the starting line.

Dump Off is actually a pretty good skill. It's hard enough getting to the ball carrier as it is, so it's quite frustrating for the opponent having to cover multiple potential recievers as well. And Nerves of Steel and accurate, and he'll be a straight-up headache.

4 Blitzers, 1 Runner and as many RRs as possible. Fill up with linemen ofc

I got the first skill "Pro" for my Runner, so now he´s a little bit better in everything he do. And he acts more like Runner and not a Thrower. Great skill for someone who rolls alot of dices.
