Slann catchers do not start with Dodge, they start with Diving Catch. I don't know if that will be different for Kislev.
As to starting them...
There are two schools of thought, one is blitzer centric the other is catcher centric, and either comes down to the style of play you personally prefer. Slann blitzaers can develop into amazing players since they are GAS access, and stats on them are amazing. But it's a slow process and early on your team will lack ball handling and scoring threats.
Starting with more catchers means you have a much easier time scoring, but, sort of lke with skinks, if they hog the SPP as your TV goes up your effectiveness may not scale as well.
Ultimately, if you want them at mid to high TV you want both, though not necessarilly full complements of both.
My preference is to wind up with 3-4 blitzers and 1-2 catchers, but flipping those numbers doesn't make the team any worse, just makes them different.
That's just poo!
I think it's kinda cool when players start with skills that are decent-ish but not good enough to be picked very often. Helps in varying things up. Diving catch is definitely that kinda skill, it's not worthless, and it has some fun applications.
If you're not afraid to roll some dice, this looks like a really fun team.
Your team will repeatedly land on thier faces and remove themselves from the game.
Other than that, no one starts with any key skills (no block, wrestle, dodge, catch, pass or sure hands), they are expensive and have loads of not great skills.
at 1000tv they are practically a tier3 team.
they get better once they start leveling. Blitzers start off very bloaty and rapidely become really good players.
The catchers are ok, they would be much better if there were actually some throwers on the slann roster! With diving catch they do work with a player with hail mary pass sitting in the back field just waiting to lob it up to them.
Not a bash team, not an agility team and not really a hybrid team either.
Some games will make you wonder why you tried them and other games will have plays that will make you laugh out loud... probably more of the former though.
This. No core skills, and expensive/frail units who will die often.
Also true. Blitzers are core, but they're too expensive/bloaty to load up on at the start. They need better starting skills. Like Block.
This I'd have to actually disagree on. I think that with 4 agility and diving catch the Catchers could do very well with moving the ball between each other.
