Best team for inflicting injuries?
Hi all

So my local gaming store runs a league in BB2 and frankly, I'm not good enough to win it so I figured next league, I might go for maximum murder potential, just to shake things up and maybe handicap the top players a little bit.

So forget the ball, forget winning, which team do I take if I just want to rend and tear, maim and murder, break all the armour and the squishy meat inside? The one and only objective is to break the enemy. If I am broken at the same time, so be it. If I lose, so be it. Kill the standing, kill the ones on the floor, who cares? All I care is that they die.

Chaos & Nurgle. Chaos Dwarfs? Dwarfs? Norse? Do you mean short term or long term play? Short term success I would say Dwarfs, long term Chaos & Nurgle.

Chaos, start out weak, but can become ultimate killers. Claw/might blow/piling on..

Ogres, obviously. Nobody is as murderous out of the box

Nobody has said Orc's??? Seriously Orc's are your kill from day 1 Team...
Chaos is best for a long term league that gives the team plenty of time to develop!

Lizardmen don't get as much credit as they should for bash potential...

Goblin's have 1 secret weapon thats insane but 1 guy doesn't make a team....

As noted, the choice depends on the length of the league and to a degree on what teams are already in the league.

I'd go with goblins myself, since you have no intent in trying to win, you can just use your trolls and SWs to get MB going and then just foul them every turn with gobbos.

For long term chaos is clearly the best for this, but it will take you 10-20 games to build a proper kill all menz team.

Norse is a secondary option if the league is very squishy because it's easy to get MB on the zerkers and hope that the block spam will allow you to take down blockless AV7 players. Also lots of surfing potential, but if you're not a strong coach, surfing can be difficult to always set up.

Chaos, but you need to develop your killers. Block > Mighty Blow > Claw > Pile On (unless they use your re-rolls)

Plus, you get 4x 4-STR dude and all your line men are 4-STR on a blitz.

Which team has two big guys and mb to start. Undead of course. Chaos of course for long term but don’t for get underworld. Get some mutation on them they are deadly.

Ogres is where the kill stack is outta the box give all ogres piling on and you will rack up cas at an alarming rate as for wins tho unless you clear pitch him thats the only option

Long term Chaos/Nurgle/Khemri. Short term Dwarf/C.Dwarf/Norse, especially if the other teams in the league are small TV Norse/Dwarf can tear up early purely due to having Block almost across the board.

id say chaos in long run just played against a elf union team by turn 12 they had 2 ko 8 injured and 2 dead ouch

Just go Dwarves . First skill MB . Basically clawless Chaos but still .. their start is strong . Just play dirty . Foul whenever you can . FYI ,Dwarves are not for newbies ... it's hard to master.

Long term.. Chaos .. They have no equal . When you're so high TV like 3000+ , you hardly get to play a decent game . Opponents all just lightning / fireball and concede .

I love playing teams between 1000-2000 TV . It's the most fun .

It would be wrong to assume Ogres are murderous just because they can get as many as 6 MB out of the box (if you don't take any reroll). Being blockless big guys with the rest of the team composed of the players with the lowest AR in the game means you'll often take more injuries than your opponent in a game.

More, safer blocks per turn is vastly superior to maybe one or two 2-dice blocks with MB. If you play Ogres against newbies you may kill a lot of players, but against anyone who knows what they are doing you need to be lucky to murder anyone.

And if Ogres were so good at killing, people would actually pick them instead of murder chaos or murder chaos dwarves (nurgle works too), which are the real killer teams.

Underworld

Easy and cheap ClawPoMbers, a Troll with claw, lots and lots of cheap 2 headed gobbos for fouling with. Cheap team to induce lots of bribes.

It's a hard start to get there, but once you are it's hella fun. Win or no win. Who cares?

First of all, Ogres would get a couple of 3d blocks per turn at least. Second, at tv1000 there are absolutely no candidates for inflicting as much damage. Chaos (or nurgle for that matter) would get even a tiny bit dangerous after a few dozen games if you are a good player, much later otherwise.
