Question about the Season Modes
Hello Blood Bowl Fans,

Does Blood Bowl 2 have a season/dynasty mode where all teams actually start of an equal playing field?

I bought two of the original Blood Bowl games and I have to admit, I overall enjoyed what I played of them, but that was one thing that made me stop playing. I am hoping this has been addressed in Blood Bowl 2...

After setting up teams and everything to run through the season modes (I don't recall the exact wording they use), all of your characters would start at level 1 and the majority of characters on the other teams would start a few levels up.

Thank you for your time!

You can create custom championship with up to 40 teams (1-4 groups, 2-10 teams each) and up to 3 qualification stages. All teams start at nearly same TV in correspondence to your team's TV. After the end of this season you can start a new one, all progression of all teams carry over.

Old World League mode is a championship with 4 divisions - Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. You're starting in low-TV Bronze division and have to qualify to higher divisions, and eventually win Platinum division at least 4 seasons later.

Ana there are a few other templates.

I think what I used to play was the Custom Championships in the original. Your description sounds like what I used to set up, and it sounds like my main complaint may be addressed from your description.

To confirm, when you play your first game of the first season, the opposing team doesn't have a bunch of level 2-4's while you are stuck with all level 1s? If so, is the AI good enough to keep the ongoing seasons competitive?

AI starts with all level 1's at 960-1000 TV if you start with new team, too. It making progress at the same speed as you should do if your team isn't heavily crippled - most of the matches always will be against teams within +/-100 TV difference, unless your opponent's team was decimated in previous games, too.

The season mode in BB2 is bad, you cant pick what teams the AI has, so for example you might start your new season as skaven and be pitted against predominantly bashy AI teams, it might give you 40% of the league as orks (for example) or worse yet dwarves.

It has no weighting rule so it wont pick equal numbers of each available race, its also terrible when you win, a little text box pops up 'you won the season' then a button to start a new one, rinse repeat. No feedback, stats, fanfare, awards, off season etc etc

SP is a barely acceptable afterthought of a mode cause they wasted all their time making that bad campaign story mode. Granted the AI is beyond awful anyway so even with more features it wouldnt be much fun anyway.
