how can You create one?

When you create your team, in the window before you buy players there is a box saying custom team. Tick it and good to go

is the option still there? tried to find it, but i cant see any box with custom team to tick :/

If you dont have LE or the official expansion, you probably wont have the option. Dont know if thats your issue or not.
