Brets have a win rate comparable with low-end T1 teams. I suggest the problem is less the team than it is the player.

Useless is a harsh word tbf. But with no clear playstyle they are definitely at a massive disadvantage to other teams

They're not (known to be) intended to be a T1 team, but they perform at the same level as a low T1/high T1.5 team. Bear in mind they are currently the only team not know to be T1 in the game. When LE releases the addition of gobs, flings etc will make them look a fair bit better.

Yea should be good to see, cause they really need it tbh. Currently the only people playing bret are memers and roleplayers lul.

My COL Brets team is like 13-6-3 and undefeated in the last 16 matches. They just had a rough start. Ok, it's COL, but I only run with 2 blitzers and 2 blockers, the rest are peasants. You just annoy the heck out of teams with fend and foul everything that's laying on the ground. Sure the linos break a lot, but as long as you keep harm away from your position players, it's all good.

I'm not even a big fan, but they are really not that bad.

So your undefeated for 16 games by using 7 bang average linemen? No offence mate but it sounds like your a good player and has completely nothing to with your crazy foul strat.

If you played an elve team you will probably be on a 32 win steak lol.

Brets are great at low TV, the 8 players immune to Block really help, early wrestle helps overcome Blodge a little bit too. Cheap foulers, 4 pieces with general/ agility access, and are very fast. They fall off sharply at high TV where Stats overcome Skills.

The team is better if you don't take 4 blitzer 4 blocker
My team has 3 blitzer and 2 blocker

The team still has no real gameplan and can be outplayed easily by a good player.Plus the blockers are pretty much glorified linemen. So thats 7 linemen and 4 average blitzer..dosn't sound so great to me :/

It has a gameplan and with 3 players with catch also a back up plan

Also the Human Blitzer is an average Blitzer the Bret Blitzer is on Steroids.

I usually have 8 to 10 cheap linemen around and fouling is a big part of my gameplan with brets. :D
They can deal with wardancers early on. Wrestle them down and then give them the boot with a cheap player. You don't have to pray to nuffle for pows then.

What I was tryind to say was: They are not bad by desing. They are a bit weird and can be helpless sometimes against elv teams, but you can make them work and they are annoying to play against. You just have to live with the fact that your cheap players will break a lot, but you can make them work. The blitzers and blockers are pretty cool players to have and when you manage your TV you can get some good matchups sometimes.

I still get my ass kicked in CCL, though.

The they don't have enough strength to play a bash game and no thrower/not enough agi for a passing game. The 4 blitzers aren't good enough to carry when other teams have so much better tools.

I love the brets, but compared to most other teams they suck :,(

I took a 12 man starting squad with an apoth, with fouling and fend frustrating being the plan. The problem is the Linemen are awful, simply awful. They get removed (for me) at about 1 per turn, can't dodge and then you can't foul because you are down in numbers. Team is constantly at less than 11 players so you never have a sub and fouling is then not a reliable strat.

Personally I can't wait to get all 4 of my Blitzers with all 4 of my Blockers. 4 Blodgers with Guard on doubles with 3 MB Guard guys and the POMB killer is what I'm aiming for. With the linos getting DP. if they suirvive (so far none have levelled up).

If you wanted a good fouling cheap lino team you might aswell play Orcs, those Linemen don't die in droves and the positionals are cheap too.
