Tips for Chaos Dwarves?
So, I'm getting my arse kicked by everbody when playing as lil' cute Chaos Dwarves (git gud I know).
Any advices or tips how to play them wee bit better? Like what skill points I should invest or player tactics etc etc?
In my current team, I have 6 chaos dwarves, 3 hobgoblins and two centaurs.
One hobgoblin has sure hands (he's muh goal scorer) and a centaur with dauntless perk.
I always lose in strenght when I'm going to bash people, should I increase my players' strenght or not?

Why would you put dauntless on a ST4 player? It only kicks in when a player is stronger than he is, which is at ST5 and that's "only" big guys and ST4 players that got the +ST level up.
Centaurs should get block, break tackle and then what you like from dodge, side step, frenzy, might blow etc. if you carrie the ball with your hobbo.
For the blockers I go with guard for at least two of them before I get them mighty blow to make them more annoying. Claw on doubles ofc whenever I get them. +ST when you roll a 12.

Chorfs are my best team stat wise, I win much more with them than I lose. But it's kinda hard do describe why. They are a weird mix of different speeds and strenghts. Positioning is very important with them. Keep them mostly together. A blocker that's far away from the pack is a bit useless for a while.
Also you have to plan ahead. You might end up in a pile with all the other players and just block for a few turns until you gain the upper hand and clear a path for you ball carrier. But that's usually fine. Get dirty player on at least one hobbo and foul away. You can use the other hobbos to run around and give assists on blocks.
And never let anyone near the ball when it's on the ground. With the low agility you have a hard time picking it up and faster teams will be happy to run up and get it before you do.

I also win much more against chorfs then I lose. I don't know what it is with them. A lot of people seem to play them a bit wrong. Even if they have chaos in the name, you kind of have to be methodical with them, I feel. They can't just run around and kill everything. You just hit everything that comes close to you and grind the other team down.

Don't know if that helps. Maybe you need a more specific answer.

This is helpful, most of time I don't know what I'm doing with my team and this spmewhat clears
some things up. I chose Dauntless because I thought it was helpful for my centaur but I was totally wrong. I'm pondering should I buy minotaur? Even undead has higher strenght stats than my team.

You don't need higher strength if you have Guard on every Chorf.

The Chorf Mino is worse than Chaos Mino due to not having Mutation access on normal rolls, and a lot of players don't like the Mino, or Big Guys in general.

Wild Animal IMO is the best nega-trait as it doesn't remove your tackle-zones even when you fail, but you certainly shouldn't be blitzing with your Mino even if you get one.

If you do get the Mino, I'd keep him on a short leash, firing and re-hiring until you get one that has rolled at least one set of doubles by 16 SPP.

Agree with what awekawek is saying.

Chorfs are one of the best teams around.

You've picked one of the worst choices possible for a level on a Bull. I know that's harsh, but it's such a huge waste.

If you're only a couple of games in, it's in Open play, not a scheduled league. I'd be tempted to delete and start again.

A lot of people ball carry with the Bulls. If the kick is deep you can probably accept a couple of turn overs to try and pick up the ball.

Bulls should grab block/ break tackle/ sure hands. Order dependent on preference. Dodge on doubles synergizes with BT nicely and helps keep him on his hooves.

Chorfs get guard/ mighty blow depending on how killy you wanna be. Then whatever you didn't pick first, then stand firm. If they haven't rolled a doubles for claw by their third level you probably want to send them to the glue factory. A 2nd doubles for dodge/ diving tackle can be great!

Hobbos are trash, beautiful trash! They foul, they kick the ball, they wrestle things for other Hobbos to foul. Keep them cheap, get 1-2 spares and foul dudes.

The Chaos Dwarf team is a great mix of solid mutation capable Chorfs, deceptfully fast and with break tackle mobile Bulls, and mega cheap fouling pieces.

At the moment you aren't playing it to its strengths.

Edit as I'm too slow at typing: the Chorf Mino is the worst big guy. You want to be hitting things with your stumpy legged dorfs, so don't take one!

Chorfs are a great team, but it seems you need to learn a bit more about the game still and they are not the best team for that. Specific advices about a team might be a bit premature if you still straggle with basics.

Try Undead or Orks till you get a better idea of skills and positioning, maybe?

Aye, I'm a noob when it comes to Blood Bowl. I actually once tried orks ago and my team did surprisingly well. I chose Chorfs because thye are my favorite faction in Warhammer lore, even they do not have spikey hats in Blood Bowl 2.

I think mino is too much to me handle right now. I try getting guard for muh Chorf players.

These are hepful advices for me. I'm gonna improve my Chorfs when they finally level up!

I just learned that tactic recently with my brets, and boy is it effective! Instead of hoping for a good punch just wrestle blodgers down with a cheap player and have some spikey boots nearby to finish them with a foul.

Well, as a lot of people agree, they are fantastic, once you figure out how to play with them.
With teams like them it's just the generic advice of: position well. But that's something you just have to figure out how to do over time.

A good way is to not base players directly but position them in a way that your opponent has to run around them and risk dodges (which you are happy to interupt with you tackle) or risk gfis to get where they want to be. It just comes with the time.

I'm in the minority but I like the Mino and all the other answers in the thread are the reason why. People call him bloat, but then turn around and have to load up the Chorfs with Guard and Dauntless to make up for not having him. I go straight for mb/claw on the chorfs and let the Mino supply the extra strength.

What I do is replace the 6th chorf with the Mino. 6 Chorfs is too slow a lineup for my taste. The Mino is also the 3rd best blitzer on the team, that's why he's nerfed next to regular Chaos Mino. Regular Chaos Mino is maybe worst blitzer on a team full of 2D blitzers, not so with Chorf Mino and that's important because you have to be willing to Blitz a Wild Animal if you are going to use him.

There are two viable lineups for the Chorfs, maybe your in the minority with me and prefer the Mino.
