Single-player / campaign mode
I've gathered from a few posts that they finally added a single-player mode. So... is it any good? Solid enough to carry the game on its own if someone chooses to avoid, or ends up disliking, multiplayer?

This game is essentially a multiplayer game. There is a tutorial story campaign, and you can set up player vs tournaments.

Both of these have been in since release. Both aren't very good as the AI is hot garbage.

Really? From what I read on other threads it sounded like they'd added a campaign mode. Guess that's another way of saying solo ladder. Thanks for the info.

Nope nothing like bb1, apparently single player stuff coming with Legendary Edition.

Which we might see at E3.

If you've been put off by online play, maybe check out a nice scheduled league, the ReBBL and associate ReBBrl (little r for rookies) are great places to start, and have very active chatty discord.

It's just not the kind of game I like to play competitively. BB1 was great for when I wanted to chill and take my time micro-managing a slow-paced game. That's where this franchise shines for me. Adding competitive urgency to a pause-heavy turn-based game turns it into a whole new beast, closer to an RTS, which just isn't my cup of tea.

Will wait to see what happens after E3. Thanks again.

Wait this whole game has been based on pvp only for a long time besides a campaign ever since it was released? I'm confused. Is there no playing agaist AI like BB1? (besides the campaign I mean).

Currently you can do the story campaign where you have a preselected team, or single player leagues which are identical to multiplayer leagues just with all AI teams. The expansion will add a BB1 style single player campaign where you go from competition to competition with your custom team.
