If you are pvp and want to play as the meta SL150 is good
If you are pvp and want to win or be able to face high SLs just keep leveling
Give it your all in the DLC, certain areas will really test your might.
I'd say bout 150-200 for the DLC areas in NG+, dont know about NG though.
That being said, I'm not against metacaps, I'm just forewarning you if you decide to stick with it.
Just level to whatever and youll find people to play against at whatever level or SM. Though after about 5 million SM it's probably best to move onto NG+.
The gist of it is to balance your SM increase by choosing carefully if you spend souls on levels, stuff or carelessness. Lenigrast very early warns you that you should take care of your souls, and not spend them on trinkets.
Matchmaking is based on Soul Memory, SL isn't actually used in Matchmaking. AKA a Soul Level 500 can invade a Soul Level 1 person if they share similar Soul Memory.
This prevents people not in a second playthrough from fighting those that HAVE finished the game.
Same with NG+ ++ +++ ++++++++++, I believe.
