Guide : How to Obtain the AGape Ring at under 29,000 SM!
1. Create a new character ( Deprived for myself ).

2. Run to Majula and grab both estus shards, as well as the Way of the Blue Ring.

3. Head to Forrest of Fallen Giants and obtain the Handaxe above the Hag. ( Free and an SL1 can use it. )

4. Head to Heide Tower and kill the Dragonrider ( Be sure to summon the NPC to obtain less souls, summoning lowers the amount you obtain from defeating the boss. )

5. Head to No-Mans Wharf and talk to Lucitiel.

6. Rush through the Wharf and ring the bell ( if you happen to have a bow, use it instead ).

7. Run to Summon Lucitiel and open the shortcut. Be sure to run far enough ahead of the NPC to prevent her from wanting to fight and instead follow you.

8. Rush to the Boat and enter the fog, Lucitiel should be close behind.

9. Defeat the Flexile Sentry.

10. At the Lost Bastile Bonfire, head back to Majula and buy the Cat Ring. Be sure to wear nothing except said ring and any Life/Blue Ring you have. Drop down the pit slowly and heal when needed. BE SURE TO GRAB THE PHARROS STONE.

11. Once inside, head as you would to the Gulch, avoid the Kamikazes.

12. Light the Bonfire and jump to the platform with the two hollows, move along and drop down one level, climbing the ladders and making your way to the second bonfire. During this there's a place with a chest above a ladder near that large dog, be sure to grab the 3x Blackfire Bombs inside before moving on.

13. Once you make your way to the 2nd bonfire, head out towards the bottom of the gulch and break through the acid vessels and grab your branch. Light the bonfire after the fog-gate and head back to lost Bastile.

14. Drop down and head out the gate, run to Lucitiels spot and throw one of the firebombs at the door, unblocking it. Grab the Key in the Iron Chest.

15. Head back to the Bonfire in Lost Bastile and open the door leading to the elevator, use your stone to open the way and ride up.

--------------------------------------------
16. Head to Straid, if you're below the 15K souls needed to get the Ring, feel free to kill these guys instead of avoiding them. ( Straid requires you spend 10K souls at his shops BEFORE the ring appears for sale for 5K, I found this out myself.
-------------------------------------------

Buy whatever you wish to hit the 10K mark and rest at the bonfire, kill the mobs if you wish, and buy the Ring from Straid.

Well done! If you avoided killing anything during your run, you should be below 30K SM. Feel free to join the Champions Covenant and farm those orbs for low-teir Invasions. Of course, this guide is easier for anyone not going as an SL1, and leveling when needed.

Have fun! :)

Very well reasoned, and the motive of invading people as soon as possibly is beautifully evil.

Nope. Spent 10k souls but he doesnt sell it. Suggestions?
Kirmukarmu Feb 4, 2015 @ 1:11pm
He sold me the ring right off the bat, no souls spent beforehand.
Is it less souls to get the branch in the gutter by buying the Cat ring or... defeating the skelly lords in Huntsman's and getting the branch in Harvest Valley?
I can already feel the dark resonant choas blade backstabs from 838 havelmonsters...as soon as I set foot in the FoFG on NG.

The cat ring because you still need to defeat the flexal sentry to get access to lost bastile.

Seems me using souls on my throw-away account shows you might need 30K+ SM for the ring to appear.

As even after I spent my 10K souls on my new account the ring failed to appear, but when I killed all the Kamikaze folk around him and went through his talk cycles, he was selling it.

Either fully talking to him sells it, which I doubt, or hitting 30K SM allows him to sell it.

I was at 30,440 when he started selling it. 30K SM is the start of teirs.

Alternatively you can get regular Firebombs in the No Man's Wharf in a chest behind a secret wall. Wall is in the first floor of the building where you summon Lucatiel and open the shortcut. Saves you some time in the Gutter.

That works too! I tend to do this route because I like to let the dog sitting on the bridge sneak up on the ladder while i'm getting them so all I do is jump over him to get to the other side, otherwise he hogs the entire bridgeway.
