Accidently killed Merchant Hag Melentia

Yeah, well, it happened. It was before i talked to her to get her to return to majula. So, i hear theres supposed to be a tombstone i can summon her back to to buy items from her (really just worried about my effigys), but I cant seem to find it. Any help? Am I doomed? Do i need to start over?

I think so... I had the same thing happen with Rosabeth, although I didn't kill her: the ambush when you hit the switch did. I guess since they haven't moved to where thier gravestone is supposed to be yet, the stone doesn't spawn. I suffered through without her, but Melentia might be a bit more of a serious problem.

Without her you likely will not get the key for the house of that blacksmith meaning you will have to wait a long long time to be able to upgrade your equipment.

Ugh, at least ive only killed two bosses i guess :(. But i was really enjoying my character.

Gravestone spawns after some time ingame, about 5 hours I think.

Ive already got the key and everything. The only thing i was worried about from her is human effigy and possible lifegems but really, i could PROLLY be okay with them or just farming those

But in reality, i was playing the archer type character as a melee warrior, never used the bow at all, so maybe its best if i remake him as the warrior.

Use ring of life protection. Don't worry about effigies ever again.

Alternatively, sunbro. Both small and large soapstones work fine.
If you want them to burn them, there's plenty of them in the game even without Melentia.

I don't use the life rings myself, I'd rather get the bonus from another ring. Summons to beat other folks bosses works fine for me to return to human. I went into NG+ with around 40 effigies, and I don't recall intentionally farming for them.

Thats true i suppose i could just hop into other peoples games to get my health back. I also have the life protection ring currently, so thats not a big deal anymore. Does having her for lifegems really help or am i pretty much done with her? I figure i could prolly farm them or something, or not even really need them later on. Idk lol. First time playing a DS game

If you already bought the blacksmith key, I wouldn't worry much about it.
She doesn't really sell that much useful stuff, though she does get some unique armors later in the game.

edit: As for Lifegems, once you get your estus upgraded you'll hardly use them. Some enemies drop them, and if you're co-op'ing in another players world any enemy has the chance to drop them for you.

ok cool. then i wont remake my character. I was just worried about not being able to heal. Ned to find soe more estus flask shards then, only got 1 lol

Don't worry so much about getting effigies from her as she only has a limit of 5? Depending on how far you are into the game you can get 6 free effigies from the hag witch in Things Betwixt just by talking to her (you don't have to kill her to get it). The canines in Lost Bastille have a chance of dropping them as well I got a few back to back.
