Baneful Queen Mytha bugged

Hi,

I have killed this boss 15 times as phantom, farming Sunlight medals. When I tried to kill Mytha in my own world, the boss was bugged. When I enter the room, I can see the life bar, but the room is empty. I have tried everything: exit the game, rest in bonfire, change zone, play offline...

I don´t know what to do.

I have this exact same bug with The Rotten.. I'm lvl 69 and just made it through black gulch, get to the mist wall and the cut scene plays, then an empty room with the bosses life bar at the bottom. The Rotten is a grand soul, I can't progress any further untill i defeat him :( :( I thought this was just me, iv'e been so frustrated!!!

Bandai support has told me to unistall the game and install it again. The problem may be caused by a corrupt file. I'll try.

I have this same issue with Mytha and can't progress though the game. I figured it was probably a corrupt file and reinstalled DS2, still having the same problem. I'm now thinking my save file is bugged and was about to start over, but since others are having the same issue...

You don't actually have to get any of the Great Souls to continue — the Shrine of Winter will alternatively let you continue if you have 1 million Soul Memory (the total amount of souls you've collected in your character's lifetime).

If this isn't resolved for you, you can co-op/pvp until you reach that 1 million SM. Co-op on Rotten gives a decent amount of souls.

Wait, is this a thing? How many people are having this? Im going to be epically pissed if there are problems like this.

I made a new save and rushed to Mytha and she spawned, so it seems to be a save issue. However, I still noticed there was other monsters that still didn't spawn even with with the new file. I played the ps3 version so this is why I noticed this these missing monsters to begin with.

What exactly do you mean by making a new save? Did you start a new game or did you just remove the save data and let it repopulate? Trying to figure out this glitch myself.

I would expect that the character file within that save is corrupt, therefor it shouldn't be necessary to start a new file. But as stated, if you don't want to start over, you can just skip Earthen Peak and Iron Keep, sucks that you won't be able to use Steady Hand McMannus until NG+ though.
