But my opinion completely changed when i was trying to collect armor pieces.... I mean they made design choices so farming isn't mandatory anymore to fully upgrade your character but then they let you farm for armor pieces??? Also you can't controll what kind of armor piece you get because its random and rare even with droprate fully buffed with various items. It can happen that you get armor pieces you already own over and over again and a lot of other items too because enemies can now drop 8 different items or so and if they stop spawning, you're screwed and you have to use an asket fire to respawn them and hope that you get that armor piece you need this time. I'm not be able to complete some armors anymore like the one from the Ruin Knights because in NG+ they only spawn once for some reason and then you have to use a asket fire again which also resets the whole area and makes it a lot harder, this sucks. They could have make it like this that there is no despawning anymore in general in NG++ because you can deal with that better there or just hide the armors around the world like in the first Dark Souls. About the modding; without any official modsupport this can't be changed so i hope FromSoft is changing that a bit themself. They could atleast make it like so people don't get the same armor pieces they already own.
Armor dropping in full sets or having a secret vendor for ultra rare sets (Llewellyn, Heide, Ruin, Mad warrior, Shadow etc.) maybe only selling you the rest of the set once you have at least one piece, or just selling them/hiding them somewhere in the world of NG+.
Also yeah, visible aura's, poise/stamina just look ♥♥♥♥♥♥, I get the point of letting other players know what's going on (making it obvious a guy's stamina is buffed when trying to kill each other) but made it so I never used any of those rings/helms/sheilds in DS cause I just got tired of seeing wiggly stuff all over my characters.
I don't see the point of your post. Everyone is aware of ascetic fires, what is your argument or who are actually disagreeing with?
Couldn't you just not warp between bonfires? :p
This is really stupid.
Stupid that you mention this, since you can just not warp, you know. Nobody forces you to warp.
-A mod that removes enemy de-spawning after 15 kills (Don't know if this is possible)
You can use items to fuel the fire and let enemies respawn (and get harder), but that might not be exactly what you want.
-Any kind of texture/gfx/lighting enhancement mods
-Mods to add weapons from DS1 that aren't in DS2 (This is probably not possible?)
These might both be possible. Especially a DX injector is likely.
That's a very disgusting thing to say.
Adding weapons is impossible. Just not going to happen. You'll have to make it run in DS2, balance it, figure out how everyone else invading or cooping in your world will deal with this, etc. Just not happening.
You, mean, just how it wasn't possible in DaS 1 ? Oh wait...

Stop talking out of your butt, if you don't know anything about how modding works.
There are even modded arrows ffs:
http://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls/mods/197/?
Isn't that just . . . cheating? Isn't he using a program called Cheat Engine?
I'm pretty sure the desire for weapon mods is more along the lines of making say, demon great machette or Silver Knight Sword/Spear etc. available as opposed to "want moonlight greatsword now"
and modded arrows is just a texture change
with that in mind, I really doubt people will mod new weapons into the game, just because that would be like making arrows behave like homing soulmass. Or cobbling together a new weapon moveset from a few others and strapping on model/hitbowx/texture.
Most mods seem to either be visual or changing some number in the game (i.e. graphics overhaul or the guys who run around with unbreakable 1hitKO crystal swords and infinite health)
TLDR: Bonfire Aesetics are bandaids over the task of farming for ultra rare items
Though really what it does for me is that it can destroy the feeling I had in DS that the curse of the undead was just that you and your enemies were all stuck in this never-ending cycle of kill and be killed, the supposed goal of lifting the curse was as much for the benefit of the hollowed berg residents you'd destroyed a thousand times. Just trying for the release of real death.
