The ending was not polished well and a huge let down.
5/10, a quick ride for an adventure that doesn't feel like one and not worth the price at all.

Good continuation from second game. Better graphics, voice acting, etc. Few annoing puzzles. Overall 8/10.

Pl. Dobra kontynuacja, grafika jest lepsza (dodali możliwość włączenia kolorów, niekiedy wygląda to super). Kilka zagadek ma pomysł z dupy - kliknij 3 razy w to samo miejsce i dostaniesz rozwiązanie. Fabuła ma jakiś kryzys pod koniec moim zdaniem. Ogólnie 8/10

A fun visual novel mystery that's (very) light on mystery, but full of heart.

Firstly, I love the worldbuilding and aesthetic in this game. The visuals are super unique, and as you'll learn, are actual photographs meshed together and stylised. The noir feel is done beautifully, and the city is filled with interesting little tidbits that add so much character.

I also enjoyed the characters and their interactions with each other. Sonny is a typical gruff detective, Marty the upbeat sidekick. Their dialogue lends well to their personalities and how they react to certain situations, and besides the one 4th wall break too many, felt real and fun. And the characters they meet, both new and returning, fit in well and help build the story well.

A shame the story fell flat then. For a mystery, there really isn't much mystery to it, other than why some decisions were made by the writers.

My main gripes:

MEAT = insect meat. What a shocker! I'm surprised how obvious this was, yet the story acted amazed when revealing it.

Mick guns down Marty, then just buggers off? Surely he should have finished Sonny off too?

Lady Kayla's conspiracy didn't feel right. It felt like she was causing anarchy for the sake of it - her reasoning flawed and in need of some extra cooking. Plus, it all ended abruptly without really playing out.

And the ending being this nice, happy, everything's fine feeling didn't work for a noir story. Sonny became timid and weak at the end.

I did enjoy the game, so it earns its thumbs up, but the story needed a few more rounds in the oven.
