How to - Enhancements ?!
Hello

I would like to know how to "store" my enhancement setup. I have bought two ships now (buy & garage). It's no problem for me to get the weapons itself.. but the enhancements.

I can't find an overview where to get Shenzen3 or OmniLink3 and so on.. and it's somehow stupid to visit all the stations again and again just to look where to get my favorite enhancements.

There is no possibility to buy such enhancements and store them somewhere in my inventory (same as with weapons, fighters, equipment) ??

Any ideas? It is very uncomfortable as it is. Workaround would be to manipulate the savegame file.. but this is really messy.

Greetings

It's really annoying true, thanks for reminding about it here.

Welcome Trophy!

Yes, unfortunately for the moment it's not possible.

The only good news is that you can sell them for the full purchase price again.

Usually if I have the money I keep all enhancements on the old ship in the garage and get new enhancements for the ship I want to fly next.

Since it's been mentioned repeatedly already I think the devs will make it possible to store enhancements eventually.

I am not sure, but I'll warn you not to buy a new ship, if you have many systems enhanced. When you change ship directly one for another, all enhancements are gone. I think I had about 3mil when I bought Philadelphia for 2200ish, and had 1mil afterwards. Maybe something got refunded, or maybe it was the auto-sale price of my Wolverine. But I damn certainly had almost a million worth of enhancements on most of my systems. When I changed Taurus to Wolverine, I manually removed all enhancements and it was all as intended, but now it seems like they all got wasted.

How do you transfer enhancements to a new ship? Or do you have to purchase them all over again?

It seems.. you can only sell them at the old ship.. then you need to buy them again for the new ship.

As of 2018 this has not changed. The real issue with enhancements is when you get one from a blueprint. If you sell it or transfer command (not buy from a shipyard) you lose it forever until you complete an identical blueprint. So if you want the TZAR carrier which is an enemy faction ship, you will only be able to capture it and thus lose all your enhancements when you transfer command. Unmount the weapons and enhancements first and the game will refund the money for the enhancements and save the weapons, but you will lose access to those blueprint enhancements for the new ship. So if you plan on ending up with an enemy craft it is better to complete and not purchase any blueprint items until you get the maximum level enemy craft you want. Then purchase all those blueprint items.
