Echelon class Batlleship is Incredible
The ship has one weakness, a slow shield recharge rate (15, versus the 60 of a Helios, which is my other favorite).

For that one, and only one weakness, you get 10,000 base shields, 24,000 base hull, 220 battery energy with a 10 recharge (same as Helios).

And that's not all. The ship has one more awesome gamebreaking feature.

It's reactor, unlike every other ship in the game, recharges at 2 instead of 1.

Combine that with a Regen III enhancement and you have a 3.0 energy recharge, which means you can fly around with a 3 power skill on indefinitely.

Tactics with the Commander and Hack with the Engineer is simply retarded now.

My Engi is running around ALL THE TIME with:

20% Chance to drop target shields on hit.
20% Chance to disable ship on hit.
20% Reduced Target Accuracy and Critical Hit chance.
and somthing like -30% enemy troop effictiveness.

It's painfully easy to kill everything when the first salvo drops shields.
It's painfully easy to capture disabled ships staffed by suffocating troopers.

Using the Commander and having full time fleet speed/maneuver/soak buffs combined with +150% fleet damage and +34% fighter damage is equally off the hook. Every critical hit is hitting so hard it takes multiple systems offline.

Just Ridonculous.

Well they need to sell the dlc so adding op ships for people who like to win easy is easy money :p

That said yeah they need to balance the new ships out its just dumb making everything obsolete in comparison....

Riktoven, you have to take another thing into account. You're one of the best SPG2 players we know. Combine this with your amazing calculations and time you put into configuring everything and no wonder you're OP. :)

I think you might have to patch the power recharge on the ship a bit.

Tactics ability full time = full time +100% soak = unkillable unless the computer starts using some high end radiation rifts.

I'm also enjoying the benefits of the Echelon Battleship. It reminds me a lot of a certain class of Vulcan/StarTrek ships. Yep, it's a heavy-hitter when outfitted and enhanced as well as practical, given game balance and all that.

With the availability of two fighter/interceptor/bomber bays, it's got some reach beyond its grasp. I like the 'stand-off' tactic of employing fightercraft and missiles at distances beyond the lite weapons ranges. I employ the lite weapons as more point-defense/melee weapons. The Echelon delivers, and can hold its own in a slug-fest, more often than not I've found.

Good use and parsing out of its endemic assets. Like all other frames, give it some luvin, and she'll give it right back ! ;)

Havent been able to get it yet, im at the part where you are about to shut down the generator. This part is pissing me off casue your already getting wreaked while the damn cut scene is happeneing.... Devs need to fix this asap....

I just got this ship, and it seems to be permanently cloaked. I cannot uncloak it even when firing weapons. Is this a glitch, since it doesn't have a cloaking device on, intended or what's going on ? :(

There is a bug that cause this if you capture that ship from the Ghosts, since they have the innate ability to phase out.
