Secrets of Aethera
So I completed the vanilla campaign and started playing with Secrets of Aethera dlc. Shouldn't it add another story arc to my game? I have new side quests, but I don't see any new main quests. Do I have to start a New Game to start a SoA story arc?

Well..yes, you'll need to start the SoA campaign, from the splash-page prompt. This'll put you in a new ship frame, (a Reliant-class BB) and will start your character off at an elevated rank - somewhere in Porphyria Province.

@sfcwoc : you are mixing up the SoA campaign and the SoA (quick)start.

SoA story can be played in story mode after you completed the main story.
Are you sure you did not completed both ? There is no warning between them.
If you have access to Kepler it is the case.

I completed the vanilla story without the dlc, afterwards started the game with SoA and the onlly change was the 3 new side missions (blue markers). I've completed several side missions so far, but haven't seen any main arc. I understand that the additional main story arc should be accessible normally without any preconditions and/or starting a new game?

EDIT: Maybe the AoE missions show only if I play with the dlc from the beginning and won't show if I play vanilla first and add dlc later? On the other hand the new side missions are there...

Hey rmz, it seems something is corrupt in your save game because that should not be happening. Please, send your save game to oliver@starpointgemini.com with a link to this thread so we can fix the save and send it back.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

P.S. On another topic you mentioned you have about 50 hours of gameplay in SPG2. That means you still have complete Origins, which are free, after you complete SoA. :) You can leave this game and come back in a year and you'll still have something to play.

I plan to move to Titans after SoA, tahnkyouverymuch ;) Maybe I'll follow up with Origins.

I'm glad that developers do frequent this forum and provide help. Kudos to you guys, for the attitude and a great game.

Sent the email last week. Bumping just to verify it didn't land in some spam folder or something.

Same thing here. What can I do?
rmz Aug 9, 2016 @ 10:35pm
I never got that answer from devs, I just completed the side missions. Maybe that was the whole SoA, to this day I'm not sure. I had fun with the game nevertheless.

Can you land on the Kepler station in the Aethera nebula? Because if you do, you completed the SoA campaign. You should also have a BULLSEYE railgun availible if you did.
Vanilla campaign ends with the destruction of the Catapult and then SoA starts without any prompts or anything. Its just another main mission. Though it might indeed be broken, I had some issues with it myself. The 1st SoA mission spawned but the 2nd one didn't.
Can't really help you with fixing it though, mine fixed itself.

Speaking of SoA. I read that BULLSEYE can be customized in some way beyond the enhancements? How would i do that? And I've seen people using multiple of those, but i only have one and can't buy more.

Not BULLSEYE, the Kepler beam sold at the station.

I sent my save and log.txt to the customer supprt just 1 hour ago, I hope they can give me a solution! My main mission ended at catapult destruction, so...no SoA for me yet :/

Oh, okay. I wonder where did i get the BULLSEYE from then. o.O
Now that i think about it. It probably was from a hero that i killed while doing SoA missions. I Though i checked it when i finished SoA but I'll go look for that Kepler beam then.

Edit: There is no Kepler beam at the Kepler station. They sell Warloc III, Rival III, Volcano III, Baracuda III, Melter III and Isis III.
I guess this is why I assumed that BULLSEYE was it. Since they don't sell anything that i haven't seen on other stations before.
So apperantly there is supposed to be some kind of research tab at Kepler? I don't have that.

Edit2: Okay ignore everything. It's just that the HuD mod that i have installed makes the button invisible.

I'm sorry to hear that. It seems our programmers missed that and that was our mistake, I apologize.

SoA had a short storyline that gave you Aethera shield, you had some stuff going on (not gonna spoil it) and you also got access to Keppler station afterwards.

No worries, I was a bit angry back then, but all in all I had so much fun with the game that I got over it quickly ;)

Competing SoA gives you that weapon and POLARIS heavy.
