We won't tell you. :P

Kidding, Gunner is decent for first playthrough because it's pretty straightforward DPS class. Engineer is the best in later game, wreaks havoc with abilities, similar to mage in fantasy. It's up to you, all three are pretty much balanced with a bit different gameplay styles. ;)

Hi Captain Ohinu,

Frist of all, im a recent resident in Gemini System so pls forgive me if I will say smth that is not 100% correct.

Ok , to my knowledge the Commander fits better the play style of a commander of a fleet, so if you intend to hire mercenaries that will have their own ships to follow you and help you on your story then the Commander class will provide buffs to you and your fleet.

The gunner I believe is kinda the opposite, will provide buffs only to you and mostly offensive buffs so that you have more firepower to deal with the threats ahead... like a overpowered lone wolf per say hehe.

The engineer will provide mostly abilities that provide buffs to you and debuffs to your enemies, like for example, reduce their energy regen while increasing yours. The engineer is quiet interesting for pirates as myself :D one of the debuffs reduce the strength of enemy troops inside their ships turning boarding operations a walk in the park muahahaha :steammocking:

In the end it depends of your playstyle :)

I hope I helped and welcome to Gemini Captain, fly safe!
I also hope I didn't lie too much... if I was I ask the veterans to correct me pls.

Edit: damn Zeno, you are everywhere... btw maybe I talk too much and this is considered spoiler.. if so I will try to keep more quiet and let you deal it it, since you mostly do it anyways :)

If you want to focus on straight forward damage, Gunner - Good for Battleships and Dreadnaughts too.

If you want to fly a Carrier and/or run your own little fleet, go Commander.

Engineer is disturbingly good at turning everything to your advantage once you learn to play it, but the skill ceiling is a bit higher. Better at capturing ships too which is a great early money maker.

It's not a problem. I'm trying to answer as many posts I can, but when our community jumps in, it makes my life easier, so thank you. :)
