good game, tutorial sucks
i Hate this kind of turorial, do you have to show me every single hotkey, combat, hud and fly control in 1 single screen after 1 minute into the game. Only make me want to drop the game and play something else. i got so many other games waiting for me to play.

Dont get me wrong, it is a good game, but why not spent some time to make a better tutorial.

Right now it only drive people away from the game...., at least I left the game when i saw the tutorial screen and didnt come back till the dlc sales.

You cant please everyone. Personnaly I think the tutorial was really well made, and you have other games like Elite dangerous where there is almost none if no tutorial at all and they kick you down stair for the first time you walk in your life. You can turn off the tutorial if you want, once past it the game is really worth it, well if you like spaceships.

muahaha Julien good one with the staircase analogy... just had a flashback on my first day in X3 terran conflict ... I don't think I ever felt so helplessly lost in the vast of space :steamsad:

The tutorial didn't say how to land on planets. Since landing on a planet (Trinity) is the first mission, this over-sight is worse than glaring.

WHen we made tutorial that holds your hand people said that they want just text tutorial which they can close or open when they want. The we did that and many people said, cool, finally, but also there came new people who said, why is tutorial like this, we want step by step gameplay tutorial. We cannot please everyone, that's true...

It's indeed a subject of taste, I was super happy with this tutorial as many others I can imagine.

I hope you will eventually forget about that incident Captains Reprocesing and Cobalt and keep enjoying this amazing universe. :steamhappy:

Hug the planet and click on anchor in the 4x1 window:

Yeah, I was really happy with the tutorial. It gave the relevant information, showed how to get that information again, and got out of the way.

Spadsta, if you forget anything you can open tutorial again by clicking on ? in the uper right corner.

Right. I liked that the tutorial pointed that out.

I thought the tutorial was especially good. You could turn it off at any time, and go back to it easily. You could also easily find anything you needed to know, as each aspect is explained in depth and well organized.

Yep, it was everything I'd want in a tutorial.

Just to throw in my 2-Cents... I'm loving the Tutorial!!! There's a lot in this game's mechanics, and it's nice not to have to learn a ton of stuff... only to forgive it when you need it. This Tutorial just tells you stuff when you first "May" need it (with the exception of 'How to Land' as mentioned earlier (LOL)... but trial and error makes a quick study.

Also.. while I haven't used it... doesn't that Small Check Box in the Bottom Left Corner of the Tutorial turn it off? (For those who don't need/like it??)
Zenoslaf Apr 1, 2016 @ 9:40pm
It should be in the upper right corner - ? symbol which turns it on and off...

In the bottom left corner you have your ship schematic and also energy distribution panel (mouse over ships schematic). :)

I agree it is hard to please everyone.

My complain is that while the tutorail tries to show you everything, it wont let you do anything but remember all the information.

If the same tutorail is on a side panel, and I am free to do anything the tutorail says at the same time. I would be very happy.

Just a small suggestion.

That same tutorial is available on a side panel. The question mark on the upper right corner.
