Can't create a character

I just bought this game and I want to create a character but I cannot give them a name >.< because the confirm name button is still dark after I enter a name. Is there a fix for this?? I can't play the game now

Try clicking on the name field. Keep in mind this is a Pre-Alpha game.

Do you have 6 heroes in total? If so, thats why you probably can't create a new hero.

Try support and also look at Trendy's forums @ www.dungeondefenders.com. Someone there may have experienced the same bug/issue.

You can only create new character in the Public Tavern. Are you attempting to create a character in the Private Tavern?

No I think it was in the public tavern then, but it is my very first character :O but somehow it worked just now, thank you for replying

Did you try and make spaces between the words in your characters name?
The name need to be just 1 word.

Sorry.. it has been a while so I cannot remember how I fixed it
