Gender Locked Classes

Does anyone know if Trendy have any plans to remove gender locked classes by creating alternate gender for each class?

Preferably as a creation choice and not a paid costume, but either would be great.

Normally I would agree, at least in a game with decent graphics.
But this game? Ugh...

Purely for naming reasons in my case ^^

Naming my characters after Log horizon members.
Squire = Naotsugu
Apprentice = Shiroe
Monk = Nyanta (but want a female Monk so I can call it Akatsuki)
Huntress = Akatsuki (though as above, would prefer this name for a female monk)

The graphics in this game is superior to DD1 in every single way.... And DD1 had gender swapped classes.
Also why would the graphics mean so much? The current characters look good the way the game is.

I hope not. The gender swapped classes in the first game were one of the dumbest things they ever did. Mainly because it always left one or the other feeling better or worse. This time those slight variances seem to be handled by spheres which is much better.

I'm sure they are going to add more heroes over time. More females, and probably some none humans too if the cancelled DD2 is any indication.

While this goes back to the days when this was a moba, they released a tentative list of characters they were making. http://www.ign.com/wikis/dungeon-defenders-ii/Characters

It looks like they planned for all the characters from DD1 to make appearances in DD2, but who knows if thats still the plan. It would be nice if they were their own characters with their own towers instead of just slightly tweaked abilities.
