Series EV2 Diffusion Shard

i am new to the game, and have been using EV2 as my main. I was very happy when i got her Diffusion shard for her Buff Beam, i upgraded it to lvl 12 to get the full benefits, but it doesn't seem to be working.
i place it on my other towers, and their defense range doesn't change at all.
am i doing or reading something wrong? or is this a bug?

Look at your tower and see if it has (Max) range already, if so, Diffusion will not add to it. What it does do is give you the opportunity to remove a Deadly Strikes Shard or Range Chip from a Medallion to slot something else, then Diffusion will more or less make up the difference (possibly).

where would i see the what the Max range is?
Also, i just got the All For One shard as well, and that is working just fine to increase the range on all of the same towers i tested the Buff Beam Diffusion shard on... so if that will increase the range, i don't see how Diffusion wouldn't work.
i was hoping i could use them together to make my Ancient Dragon's range insane

Well on PC I look at my tower and hit E and it shows me the stats. Each tower has a max range, so if it is at max it will say (max).

As for how you are using the Boost Beam, are you setting it up so the tower you want boosted is inbetween the beams ? Basically has to be touching the beam to get the boost.

Well on PC I look at my tower and hit E and it shows me the stats. Each tower has a max range, so if it is at max it will say (max).

As for how you are using the Boost Beam, are you setting it up so the tower you want boosted is inbetween the beams ? Basically has to be touching the beam to get the boost.

Okay, so in that case, they definitely are not at max then.
As for using the buff beam, yeah, i make sure the beam crosses through the tower, and that tower gets a faint greenish glow to it once the beam has been placed

are you using a mystic or better relique? only those activate all three shard slots.
are you using different ev2? maybe shard is in the wrong one?
did you try to reload the map? sometimes when upgrading a shard/ equipping it the map wont activate it until its reloaded.

I only have 1 EV2, and the relic for my buff beam is legendary, plus, i put the shard in the first slot to make sure it was a priority. As for the map... i equipped it will in the tavern, and have played several maps since then. I also made this post the day afted i got the shard, so 3 days of playing with the shard and it hasn't worked even once.

it does not affect the boost aura. but i guess you bossting other towers as well with it?

maybe you can post a screenshot or something of your setup? since its working for all other players but is a consitent thing for you, i get the feeling you do something "wrong" that we cant guess right now. maybe seeing the setup would help

If you are doing it in the tavern or town. Sometimes it doesn't update properly. If you remove the relic and put it back on, it should update. Or just leave the town/tavern and it should update then.

it seems to be working now, out of nowhere, so i guess it isn't an issue anymore, thanks for the help though

I know I'm almost a month late, but sometimes shards just don't work, but if you unequip the shard and re-equip it, that should fix it. Maybe remove other shards on the relic too?

I've had shards "disappear" when I took them off whilst playing maps, especially Ramparts and the heart attack (especially with my hyper shards) until I got back to tavern and found them with the scavenger guy (the one who looks like Jafar's odl man disguise in the animated Disney Aladdin film lma).

I know some shards stopped working in the past, I had some problems with harpoon shards not working or something else years ago, shards seem to be some of the buggiest things in the game unfortunately.
