Drain Aura Mod

Does the Drain Aura mod for the Boost Aura only apply to its base power? If I put power increasing shards on it doesn't seem to effect the dps.

Correct. If it says it of the power as a %, it only affects the base power. So shards like destruction won't work. But vampiric empowerment takes the health stat (barring things like fortify, All for One, and health pylon) and actually adds to the base power. Also the power boost from Frosty Power for the frostbite tower also modifies the stat as well by a flat value. If you had unique power, or diverse power, or regular power as a mod as well, it would affect drain aura's power as well.

Thanks that's helpful. I randomly found a 10/10 drain aura mod and wanted to make use of it.

You should use anti chaos/melee or controller for way more damage imo, unless you want to make a pure dps build (more base damage and crit only).

aaaand it just got nerfed.
you gotta try if its even still valid now, or just trash again

Anti mods dont effect the damage done, it's just pure power that effects it, it also cant crit. It got super nerfed so I'm not gonna keep using it for damage, though it still is really strong early game.

They do, power mods (such as diverse power), antis , vampiric, pet stats and upgrading it (vamp increase) do work . Destruction shards (mass, destruction), destructive pylon, crits and the defense power ascension power do not work .
