Prime Incursions and hyper shards

I hope my question is simple, I am just looking for clarification. I have read as much as I can find about obtaining hyper shards from the primes. My confusion comes from everything says you must complete the groups to get the shards but I am not sure what they mean by groups. I am hunting for the automation shard, all the rewards list I have found says it is from Prime V, so my question is do I have to finish all chaos levels 1-10 Prime V or just a certain chaos level Prime V. I really would hate to waste my time farming for this only to find out I was doing it all wrong. Thank you

you have to do the entire prime V in incursion on chaos 8 difficulty or above.
