testing heros before buying
is there any chance of them adding this feature because I want to try the newer heros but I don't want to risk buying a hero I won't like playing

Personally I think they should have gone with making all the hero's free and charged for the hero slot/skins.

U know... that's not a bad idea.

I'm not sure I want a gunwitch, would be nice to try it first.
well I agree with vol I don't mind to much and other games do have it as well (heros of the storm is one I can think off top of my head)

i think we all kinda think that , hero slot for money/medal but heroes for free .

If they really wanted to make CASH , they would have released 2 new TOWER SET SKIN per heroes and sold those for 109$(refering to the hero bundle pack) I mean we have 100 players ++ begging for tower skins since over a year ago .

There's a trial system on TF2 that allows u to "borrow" a weapon for a week to try it out to see if you like it, and at the end of it, it's gone. And you can only do it once per item.

In a similar fashion, might be cool to get a temporary hero slot and the hero to try out, and if we like it, before the week is over, we purchase with medal/gems, if we don't, the hero and slot are deleted.

There is a video, showing you all the abilities/towers of the heroes. What else do you want?
You can propably also watch a lets-play with her, if you look for it.

I thought it was pretty clear that he wanted to try the hero.

Seeing someone else play with it gives you a really vague idea, but really no idea of how viable the hero actually is.

Its an early access game. Why would invest in another race for a incomplete game?

pretty much this especial because the video they put up is ment to make the hero look good so you don't know if that has anything to do with how it acutally plays and for snyt its because even in its current state I have had tons of fun with it and want to show them some kind of support

Every hero is supposed to be viable. And the video will show you, how the character works ingame.

I kind of understand how you guys feel a bit, but understand that ALL new characters will be viable, Trendy would not release new content that is viscouisly under-powered.

That being said Ev2 Jump Mechanics... Enough said.

Complaining about the cost of the content though has already been done plenty, and to be honest the prices are fair, though they are not aimed at Casual Gamers at all. New content, Skins in particular, are designed with addicts in mind, people like me who HAVE to have all of the skins.

Now back to the main topic, if they were to set up a test zone for the characters similar to what they did for the Carnival Event, where you have maxxed out gear and get no loot, this would be sufficeint for testing. They could make a new map called "The Training Grounds" Small map with 3 waves, nothing big. 1st Wave would be bossless, second would have a Griblok or other bosses like that, and third would be an Ogre.

this was what by testing and yes all heros are viable but I want to see which heros I'd acutally enjoy playing i.e. I hate playing the squire and would like a hero that more plays like the monk

I suppose when you buy a car, you don't even take it out for a test drive, you watch a video of it and you decide.

nevermind seeing how it handles, how spacious it is inside, how comfortable it is, how smooth the suspension is, etc. You saw a video, it's all you need.

But being viable isnt the issue here , we are talking about personal liking more than viable. Granted it only applies to dps since builders stay in deck most of the time. Also its a good way to make sales(i would buy 1 of the heroes if i knew which one i would enjoy dps'ing on) , im suprised they didnt add this yet . especially with the plan to release a bunch of heroes this year.

Also i rly do like your idea . Could even be more simple than that and it would work .
