You don't NEED all characters seeing as the hero deck only holds 4, and even owning all the characters myself, 3 out of my 4 are the original characters.
It's really not bad at all.
300 medals with a Daily ... x30 is 9000 ... but you need to win a map wath give you madals to
and if you need 10 min for a map to win it is only 300 min or 5h ... is not so mutch play time for me
PS: you need time to gear up your new char ... with the time to farm a good gear you geht the madals for the next one ;)
Paying for content, I dunno mang I got a Wii U to feed, it's hungry and out in the cold.
A month of casual grinding or a week plus some change. EEEEEH
but don´t pay the char with it ... is better to play the game and geht the medals for the char ... and the add on with the gems for more Backs ...
the game is still a grind / Farm game ... if you don´t like to farm for the medals / items you can´t like the game ;)
The trick is to reroll dailies til you get a 450 ones, if you don't, pass on it til the next day.
- If you do a 450 every day of a week, it's 3150 medals.
- The weekly is 600.
- Dailies require you to beat maps, so let's lowball it and say 75 medals a day from map completion, except on weekends where it's triple, that's 750 a week.
That's 4500 medals from barely playing, nearly half of the new hero cost. And that's assuming you absolutely do not farm medals AT ALL, which, if you wanna buy a new hero, you're going to AT LEAST play a couple of extra times in the weekend.
Granted, you can get unlucky with dailies, but you can make it up easily by play extra maps.
You can VERY easily get a new hero in 2 weeks.

This is mildly convincing. I looked at the starting classes though and I'm just not feeling it.
ok it works ... but you must play it evry day for it (to reroll it) ... for me i play it only when i hav the 3 mission full ... and on 3x WE ;)
but i hav all chars with full lvl and good ipwr 700+ gear for it.
i din´t realy need new gear or the medals for new chars ...
Personally I think your WAY better off buying the new char with gems and saving the medals for other useful things (spheres, pet exp, uber spheres, new char slots)
In my opinion your better off getting 8k medals and buying hero deck slots, then get 4 dps chars and 4 builder chars from the original chars, then expanding your hero selection
Like I mentioned, I'm using 3 of the 4 starting heroes.
- The monk has a decent defense that buffs other defense within range increasing their damage dealt and reducing damage taken. with a sphere it even increases the health of barricades.
He also has another defense that heals allies within it, but with a specific weapon also causes enemies that die in it to explode dealing damage to nearby enemies, which can cause chain reactions.
- The squire has very decent barricades, and has 2 different types. Always a solid choice for a waller.
- The huntress has the poison dart towers, which with a certain bow, causes poisoned enemies to explode dealing damage to nearby enemies spreading that poison to nearby units. It's known to cause chain reactions and works well with the monk aura mentioned before.
The only thing I don't think starting classes have is a good DPS character, but some people say the monk and huntress are actually decent at it.
I like how your problem is that you want easy access to the other heroes, and my problem is that I never have a reason to use them.
