Tier List for returning player

Havent played since like 2018, coming back with a friend and was wondering who is strong and who to stay away from. thanks for any info

It all depends on your goals and playstyle. DD2 is heavy grind game and to get some decent builds you need to spend hundreds of hours.

Recently added hero - Mercenary - is quite good for melee DPS (both builds for ability and hero damage) and as a builder - his Artillery towers are quite strong.

All 4 original heroes are also quite strong - nuke monk for DPS and as a builder, Huntress for explosive traps.

EV2 (robo-girl) is still quite decent despite Reflect beam nerf 2 years ago.

A general advice would be: try to experiment and find out what gives more fun to you.

Also if you have more (specific) questions, it's a good idea to join official Discord server of DD2 - https://discord.gg/dd2 - there is a lot of experinced players.

Yea, I've already put a good bit of time into it the last time I played, so I have an idea of the grind, i have all the characters besides the gender swaps, so I know about the grind lol.
