All this upgrading stuff

Since any gear I can turn into legendary does it mean any item can be viable to endgame?
I got some mythical gear and not sure if I should level it or not

All that really matters is where the stats on the valuerange are. If you got the highest value possible it could be worth advancing. Also Legendary Light Axes for Barbarians.

How do you determine where you're going to sit on the value range? Do we have a spread sheet made yet?

There really isn't much point in gauging stuff below C7 because you'll very certainly get the same drops in C7 given how much time you will spend there. Basically, it would just be a huge waste of resources - and gold as well as medals is too sparse for that.

Based on that, only look for high rolls in C7. That will be the gear you put your mods on and take back with you once you prestige for AP. The only two reasons you want to upgrade a piece of gear is if it's your main gear or if it has a perfect mod on it.

Now, for C7, the closer it is from 8300 once upgraded to 10, the better. But as long as it's over 8100, you won't see any noticeable difference in the end result, so unless you are min-maxing like crazy, you shouldn't worry too much.

Yes you are right but still to unlock higher tier expeditions I need to upgrade some gear to hit that minimum itemlevel
But I think this weapon for my witch I just dropped is worth upgrading

Or spend 500DM at the Wayfarer while equipping your highest average gear score hero although it's not a great sniper weapon.

To upgrade or not to upgrade... basically if you find things slowing down AND you have a lot of resources available... upgrade.

Ah right, there is an iLvl requirement for Expeditions. You could also progress through Onslaught. The difficulty curve is more interesting and there isn't the said requirement - as long as you can beat a level, you can go for the next one.

As for the Gunwitch, there is really nothing better than Critical Restoration + Inspiring Strikes (or Serpent God's Fury) with a shotgun-type weapon. You are pretty much guaranteed at least one crit per shot, so you have both the resources to spam your skills and the reduced CD to actually do so.

And for your weapons, certainly AP is better than HH on Gunwitch, but don't ditch it altogether: you'll need some to survive the higher difficulties. Once again, wheter you decide to upgrade it or not, it depends on your available resources, but you'd be better to save up for later, because at C7 level you'll need a LOT of both medals and golds.

But if I can give you one final advice: don't overthink it. You don't need the min-maxing while progressing.
