Shards and relics for Dryad
Hey, can someone explain me when should i use each of the defensives?
Also which relics and shards should i use for each defensive?

Power Transfer (C4) for all (except Trees).
Deadlya Strike [Defence Range] (C3) for Bees, Trees and Harpies. Until you hit 50 Range ascension you can use it for the Slimes and Nimbus, too. Both do not need it afterwards. (In my Opinion)

The rest is up to you and should simply be what you currently have and what works best.
Defence Rate [Defence Speed] (C4) ist probably one of most useful until you hit Chaos 7 gear. It might already hit max speed at Chaos 6, but I don't know.
There are only 2 Dryad Defence Shards and I don't like either, but you should test them out and see if they are useful for you.


As for the Relics: It is again personal preference. If you have Power Transfer Medallions should be the go to. If you don't Marks and Medallions are good. You should not use any Marks if you do not have 20 points in Defence Critical Chance, unless you want to use the shard that boosts the Critical Chances of Defences, which I think would be a waste.

What do you mean by "power transfer medallions" ?
They mean if you have the Power Transfer shard, then use Medallions. Medallions have the most Defense Power by far so you get the most benefit from using Power Transfer with them.

Gonna add my two cents here.

Tree: Totems, more life.
Fortification
Deadly strikes for bigger aura
That other mastery shard for even bigger aura (talking the entire map here)
OR Tree MCbufferson to boost other blockades
OR Shielding something (C3?) that gives a chance when damaged to get a temp shield
OR Power pylon or similar that boosts all nearby defenses

Bees: Medalions for more dmg
Destruction - pure dmg
Power Transfer - gives crt dmg based on dmg
Defense Rate - attack speed
OR Mass Destruction - even more damage
OR Deadly strikes - more range, but kinda useless unless you pump all asc points into crit chance and crit damage form the start
OR Critical Damage - even more crit damage

Harpies: Medalions
Destruction
Power Transfer
Deadly Strikes
OR Defense rate
OR Critical Damage

Slime: Medalions
Destruction
Power Transfer
Defense Rate
OR Mass Destruction
OR Fortification - slimes have hp, although a lot. But if you find them running short
OR Deadly strikes
OR Critical Damage

Nimbus: Medalions
Destruction
Power Transfer
Defense Rate
OR Mass Destruction
OR Fortification - like slimes they have ho that decreases, up to you if you need it
OR Critical Damage

I also wouldn't recommend even bothering to use harpies at all. Save the shards and trinkets for better towers.

Harpy simply doesn't perform, and there are honestly better choices.

Also, which shard should help me in getting my trees/walls more "tanky"?

Trees are 'blockade' type defenses, although, it's entirely up to you. Trees are complete trash in terms of effectively blocking lanes, unless the lane is narrow enough that 1 can do the job. Trees have far less mass than a spike wall, for example. It's going to depend on how you abuse the collision boxes of the tree in order to close lanes.

It CAN be done, but it will take some fidgeting.

If you'd rather have tanky trees, you can do the following:

Relic: Totem
Shards:

a) Fortification
b) Deadly Strikes
c) Vicious Strikes/Power Pylon/Mcbufferson/Shielding guard

I'd opt for vicious strikes, personally, but you can also drop fortification and just throw power pylon on there as well. Mobs shouldn't be making it to your walls anyway. Only bosses should be making it.

Also health pylon on tree if you have other blockades. Which you should, since the tree is too expensive to upgrade for the hp it gets. Use the tree to plug up the lanes for berserkers and the like, but not worth it otherwise. Unless you go all in dryad of course and have given the tree a lot of hp regen plus and hp plus from ascension points

Did you know that 3lvl tree has the same amount of hp as 5lvl spike blockade?

Also it costs 125 to upgrade to 2lvl and 275 to upgrade to 3lvl, thats 400 mana

Blockade requires 50+100+150+200 which equals to 500

:P

I mainly use the apprentice for blockades, they're pretty good.

So for most tiers you only need a blockade, it taunts enemies and your stuff kill them.

In tier 4 and onwards the berserkers can't really be taunted so you need to plug the lane or they will get behind the walls and hit your stuff. So two blockades and a tree is enough.

If behind your walls is the best place then place it there, if you can place your tree between two lanes then save the mana and time and place the tree there. With deadly strikes you can easily cover two lanes with a single tree. With that other mastery shard you basically only need one tree.

But if you place the tree next to your blockade then be prepared for it taking damage from kobolds and other aoe attacks.

Can you tell me how do i beat chaos 2? I've maxed equipment from chaos 1 and theres no way i beat it
I feel like chaos 3 would be easier than chaos 2

For Chaos 2, you're going to have a far easier time just using blockades, ramsters, cannons and flamethrowers.

Unless you know how to place your hornets/slimes properly, then they're going to be disabled quite a lot by the EMP orcs.

Just use ramster and flamethrowers. Flames go up the lane and ramsters go behind your barricades or in places that can cover the lane well.

One thing about using Power Pylon / Health Pylon. The effect radius doesn't seem to be affected by Deadly Strikes.
