can cheat engine break the game?

im going to test out cheat engine vs dungeon defenders 2 to see if i can get a health max of 1,000,000 i hope it kicks me before i have a chance

well, here's the thing even if this works: all it'll do is help you beat levels, which, isn't that hard to begin with.

You won't able able to change stats on gear or anything, which is the only thing that would be worth doing.

I'd think since the game mostly runs server side, you wouldn't be able to do anything of value, but then again, depends on how things are coded

Most of the stuff is controlled server side. There are a few things you could attempt to do, but all of them would constitute a breach of the ToS and none of them would give you a real advantage. Obviously no one can condone you try those things.

to bad for you EVERTHING is server side they learned from DD1

technically it does work, but it only changes what you see, not the effective numbers. so you'll see your health being super high, but it won't actually BE super high.

Not even where you stand seems to be controlled client side, the damn game keeps flinging me off cliffs for no reason because the server thinks that's where I was going.

At the best case, you'll get a VAC ban wich can be also for any VAC server out there. Also your whole account will get a VAC flag - anyone who meet you will see that you're a cheater.

This game doesn't have VAC. If it does, it's not listed on the store page.

Seems that only 440 games on steam have VAC, and VAC seems to get triggered by the most random things like CCleaner anyway.

A lot of devs handle cheating themselves, like Fromsoft did with dark souls 3 issuing thousands of non legit bans because people were invaded by cheaters and thus marked as cheaters by their system.

I'm really not so sure that anyone with a VAC ban is a cheater anymore.

No But im sure you will still get a "game ban" which like a Vac ban will show up on your steam Profile.

Didn't know a game ban was a thing, had to look it up.

Still, I'm sure a ton of those may not be legit, so my point stands.
