Huntress's Poison Dart Tower aka PDT
Squire's Cannonball & Ballista towers
Apprentice's Flamethrower Tower & Frostbite Tower - these also have the advantage of being effective from those shieldbearers from Chaos 1.
If you want to limit yourself to the Squire's & Huntress's, hopefully you've placed PDTs, Cannons 'facing backwards' before.
if geodes spawning your cannonballs and ballistas getting almost useless.
Kobolds seem to sometimes destroy FT, so placing will take some practice.
You can also try to dps down geodes or Borks with a hero.
Also this sounds broken.
Each Chaostier adds one new enemy. C1 is shield-goblins, C2 should be geodes OR cyborks, unless there is a bug. I think geodes are C2, Borks maybe C3?
I haven't had any luck with the flamethrower traps on this one, their range seems too short against all those hammer wielding borks and kobolds.
Is it worth placing the fire auras at all? Or is it just a waste of money and upkeep since they will be disabled around 50% of the time during a round?
Also, no geodes, only borks.
No PDTs do not pierce.
But they are one of the best towers in the game.
Since the huntress is free there really is no reason to not level her as soon as possible.
No need to bother with fire auras in Chaos 2.
Well then place towers to shoot in the back of enemies.
Dunno if PDT even care about shields, as their main damage comes from poison, not the projectiles.
-----
Mystic's towers also pierce the geode shields. Snake Coil and Sand Vipers.
Also I forgot about Mystic ^^°
for Flametowers dont place them behind your walls, their have 360 degree range, but short range without deadly strikes shard and acesion points into range.
C2 is mostly about getting the right placements, useing Balistias is also good, but their have very few spots to reach full potitenal on the maps. if placed incorretly a cannon ball will do the same or more damgede but costing half the defence units.
for shards, the defense rate from C4 is a good choice early game, you should use some medals to buy shards packs from there.
instead of bulding skygaurds towers, pdts, or cannon ball towers can also target air, and quite good at it if you have a wave where air and ground units come passes the same lanes.
you should probally inspect your towers to look at the damgedes their done after wave 1, to see if you placed them in a bad spots
I'm now rolling C tier 3 and having trouble with Geodes of course. What do they reflect? What do they actually do? I have a hard time telling from their animations. Do they also reflect the Monk's Anti air towers? So far I can tell that earthshatter, cannon and balista are.
I win around 50% of the time, usually end up losing on round 5 with one of the specials doing too much damage or enemies glitching past my walls for some reasons. I learned to rely a lot on the Dryad's Hornet Nest for chaos 2, but they don't seem as effectice against tier 3? I also ended up using cannon towers with stun and large cannonball shards, but they are useless now. So I rely on flame aura and hornet nest pretty much. What other towers/traps are good?
I use the dryad as DPS but have trouble with starfall being reflected by the geode's bubbles, so can't really burst specials down like before.
For the Hornets, try spreading them out when you deploy them unless you're also using them for anti-air.
For CT3, geodes are best countered with auras and beams. Flame auras are very popular, and you can also use the Apprentice Flamethrowers (harder to position but you will want to figure it out by CT5), Lavamancer fissures, Lightning Stike Auras (only single target so put them close to walls after a multi target attack to thin the herd), and EV Proton Beams (again, harder to place but fantastic when done right). Mystic Vipers are shield piercing, so they can be used freely too.
Try some CC with it too - my favorite is Mystic Sandtraps. While the DPS doesn't look great, it slows everyone down, then stuns them with one big hit. The stun will deactivate the Geode for a while, so you can even range attack it while the shield is down.
If you are still having problems, I'd suggest checking out Juicebags or Sidewalk streams. They have some entertaining and helpful streams on just about everything. Good luck!

I don't have power transfer, range, crit chance or defense rate, so far only got the crit damage, destruction(pure damage) and vamporic emporement (hp > dmg). I should try to get some of them.
I'll keep trying, I have to try stunning the geodes. Should make it easier
